Pros:

Empfangsbereich

Cons:

Sauberkeit, vor allem im Bad. Ich hab mich nicht getraut zu duschen. Renovierung der Zimmer ist mindestens 20 Jahre überfällig. Kein WLan. Bad überflutet. Aussicht auf einen Hinterhof.

Pros:

I've stayed here a few times, so I know it well. It's a lovely historic building in the heart of Shrewsbury, ideally placed for exploring the town. Most rooms are ok and clean.

Cons:

The hotel needs some money spending on it. Carpets are threadbare and some rooms are noisy (those at the front) and some look into grubby void spaces in the centre of the hotel. Facilities are basic and a bit old fashioned. No food ir bar.

Apart from location and comfortable bed, nothing to recommend The Lion.
Pros:

Position on Wyle Cop.

Cons:

Not very clean, didn’t offer any breakfast. Booking.com advertised breakfast could be paid for at Hotel, wrong.

House of horror hotel
Pros:

The worst hotel I have stayed in anywhere. Room was something out of a horror movie, my daughter thought it was haunted. The beds were shockingly bad. Changed room for a slightly improved one but still not work £120! There was no food available despite breakfast reviews saying good. No dining of any kind. Water was hot for a shower and towels were clean is the only thing I could say. The bar was dark and no sign of anyone! Service was non-existent and the reception staff were unable to do much and seemed completely fed up. Overall atmosphere was unpleasant. Others from the event also stayed and had similar experience. Should be condemned!

2 night stay
Pros:

First time at this hotel, couldn't check in till after 3pm as some of the rooms were being measured up? When we did check in we climbed a few stairs to the room opened the door rooftops greeted our view small room my Husband went down and asked for another room which they gladly changed for us we asked for a town facing room this one was much better and bigger two big windows the old sash openings one of which we had to wedge open as it wouldn't stay open, bed very lumpy the old divan type definitely needs upgrading very squeaky floorboards, hotel was a bit deserted small tv in room which we could hardly see, the actual hotel itself has some lovely features it's very old it will be the only time we will ever stay there sorry to say, it was handy for the shops pubs and restaurants.
