A Nice Place x
Pros:

The Rhinefield House hotel is situated in the middle of the New Forest, the grounds are stunning and vast. There are also some beautiful forest walks within walking distance of the hotel. Unfortunately, we didn’t leave ourselves enough time to experience the spa facilities. The staff on reception (Ly and Tom) were so lovely and friendly, really nice people and very helpful. The staff in the conservatory restaurant were also very pleasant to talk to.

Cons:

There are a couple of minor things that stood out to us during our stay:

1) The bar area were short staffed which meant that we had a very long wait for our drinks (more than 30 minutes)

2) As part of our dinner in the conservatory, we had dessert. Although the desserts were very nice, the portion sizes were small and there wasn’t much to it in terms of the wow factor…. Definitely not worth the £9 each that we paid (sorry!)

Beautiful hotel in lovely location
Pros:

Fabulous location and a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

My only criticism: very slow outdoor terrace bar service at 5pm on a sunny afternoon when many people were wanting drinks outside and we were not able to order from the bar. We waited 20 mins and then had to go back to the bar to ask for service.

Nice setting, helped by the weather making pleasant stay.
Pros:

Grounds and outside space is lovely and there is plenty of it. This is great if you are there when it's warm and sunny. Approach is stunning as well. The quality internally is ok which reflects in it's multi-use history. Room was very nice although I have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms equally nice that weren't at such a premium. However it was a nice room

Cons:

I think some of the staff may have been under a little pressure as bar staff with the exception of one lovely girl seemed a little grumpy or terse, but this may have just been our initial experience.

Pros:

Nice facade and grounds. Bedrooms were big and beds were big and comfy.

Cons:

Not enough loungers by the pool. Felt a little tired on the inside corridors. Staff were very friendly and accommodating but service was very slow.

Omgeving en tuin waren mooi, personeel was vriendelijk, de kamer en het diner waren ronduit slecht.
Pros:

Ontbijt buiten was aangenaam qua locatie in de tuin. Personeel was vriendelijk en beleefd.

Cons:

De kamer was verschrikkelijk. De kamer was klein en gedateerd. Via het raam keken we uit op een muur van een comferentiecentrum, dat ze met spiegels hadden bekleed. Totaal geen gevoel van 'in de coutry' zijn, maar gewoon ingebouwd en ingesloten tussen muren. En dat tegen deze prijs. Volgens mij was het een nood-kamer. Onbegrijpelijk dat ze zo'n kamer aanbieden. Ik heb gevraagd om een andere kamer, maar ze waren 'volledig volgeboekt'. Dat snap ik niet. Ik heb mijn boeking op 12 juli gedaan en toen waren er nog veel kamers beschikbaar. We arriveerden vanwege files laat, dus ze hebben ons de slechtste kamer gegeven. Andere gasten hadden wellicht al gewisseld. Ik vind dit niet te begrijpen, dat ze zo'n kamer kunnen aanbieden voor deze prijs.

Daarnaast:
Bij het diner (bij 3 overnachtingen) moesten we echt elke avond 20 minuten wachten totdat eindelijk het minieraal water werd geserveerd. Was de eerste avond in eerste instantie plat, terwijl we bruis hadden gevraagd. Nog een keer 10 minuten wachten op de wijn. Dit was niet één avond zo, maar alle avonden. Excuses van de bediening werden steeds volledig op z'n Engels gemaakt: want de drankjes gingen via de bar en het eten via het restaurant. Sorry, maar bij deze prijzen (er kwam nog 20 % BTW en 15% bedieniningskosten bij de prijzen bij) is dit echt ongelooflijk slecht.
De dinergerechten waren simpel' (slechter dan in Nederland bij simpele bistro restaurants) en veel te duur qua prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Na drie dagen komen de gerechten echt je strot uit.

Absolutely terrible service in the lounge bar and swimming pool is more like a kids paddling pool
Pros:

Very well kept and grand

Cons:

We don’t actually end up staying at the hotel,we couldn’t check in so went to the lounge bar waited 30 minutes and still hadn’t been served
Went for a walk around, was going too use the pool but it was full with kids and we didn’t have room card so couldn’t get in anyway
