Lovely location and staff
Pros:

Amazing setting. Beautiful building and grounds.
Really friendly and helpful staff
Lovely food.

Cons:

Only issue was very noisy people staying in room near ours who kept us awake until early morning.
Was a shame as this was first night away for years without kids so we were looking forward to uninterrupted sleep!
The food and the service other than that were great though.

Calm and relaxing.
Pros:

Beautiful grounds. The house was so interesting and the new wing was very comfortable

Cons:

The restaurant was very I keeping with the property but could have done with more lighting to show off the features. Out mistake but should have found out how far the bedroom was from the other facility’s as my husband found the walk hard.

Changes from 12 months ago, not for the better.
Pros:

Having stayed at Rhinefield last year with my daughter and being so impressed, I returned this year with my husband and high expectations.
The staff on both occasions cannot be faulted, their service is second to none, always polite and efficient, but little enhancements were missing, for example in the room,
Last year
a super welcoming package of a basket of goodies, cocktails and a fridge filled with various treats. This year two bottles of water.
The food was good but not excellent as expected. We were moved to different locations for breakfast, and the buffet style was disappointing. The delightful Alhambra Room sadly was not available for an evening meal.
The empty flower beds in the grounds need some attention.
Fortunately the weather was good which enabled us to spend time on the beautiful terrace.
All in all a pleasant stay but not one I would repeat.

Cons:

As I said above, it was a shame the hotel had made changes since my last stay as the changes were not for the better.
I was looking forward to my 2nd stay however I will not be returning for a 3rd time.
