the location and spacious rooms
facilities such as gym. There is no spa.. It feels like a 3 or at most 4 star hotel but not 5... Also shower is not convenient to use
Nicely appointed hotel, I liked the room and the decoration, friendly staff and probably decent value for location and service level
Lift (and to some extent corridors) were very atmospheric with minimal lighting
The terrace suite was fantastic, a calm oasis in the center of London. Huge room and wonderful big balcony. Super comfy and large bed. Great little decor pieces. And fantastic pina coladas!
Things are a little tired - but the Sanderson is an institution that has been going for years so that’s expected. I was pleasantly surprised. The reception is undergoing some sort of refurb so the entrance wasn’t up to its usual standards.
Excellent location, pleasant and professional staff, very good breakfast
Staff and location
Unfortunately on Friday night the music was so loud that we were kept awake till 1am.
The room also had a glass divider that was undetectable and dangerous - walked into it twice!!
Great location close to Oxford Street and the underground. The bar was really aesthetically pleasing, even though we never had a drink there. Employees are really helpful and nice!
The rooms are really cool, but the soundproofing from the hallway is close to zero. On top of that, we were unlucky to be in room 316, right across from the cleaning staff room, and there is a lot of traffic going there all morning. We heard every single door slamming. One of the curtains was ripped, so it let some daylight inside.
The rooms are different, and for sure one to remember, but quite impractical. Light switches aren't placed by the nightstand, so you have to stand up and find the right light switch to turn the lights off.
The room service menu, it says it closes at 2:00 am, and I tried calling at 1:40 am, but no one picked up. On my way down, I met an employee, and he informed me that it closes at 1:30 am (I couldn't see any info regarding that), but he was kind enough to place our order :)
The hotel is unusual.. lots of design details yet uncluttered and cool.
There’s not much I didn’t like… I could hear the rumble of lifts moving.
We booked previously at this hotel before the change of ownership. My mistake was not checking this point before reservation. The maintenance is not what it was 7 years ago.
The room's floor was full of stains and gave constant feeling of dirt
Fantastic entrance and bar area. Location couldn't be better.
The rooms are nice, but due an update if they are to deserve their 5 står description.
We've stayed here at regular intervals for the past 15 years and the rooms are getting outdated.
TV didn't work, nor the USB chargers.
The breakfast (bought in conjunction with the room) proved to be a restricted menu with substantial additional charges for over half of the a la carte options.
