Shame on member of staff let it down
Pros:

The lovely receptionist that was working in the morning was so lovely and very helpful 😊

Cons:

The receptionist when we arrived was some what rude and kept repeating please don't break the television... which i found very bizarre as I was a mother staying with my 16year old daughter. Also room had a little dust around near the television and dressing area.

Clean, comfortable and fantastic location!
Pros:

Location to The Piece Hall, a simple check in, price of room, cafe, restaurant and bar all on location. Breakfast and coffee were lovely. Staff were very hospitable

Cons:

Nothing really to complain about but just a couple of advisories:
No car park on site but no biggy, 24hr car park within 5 min walking distance.
States air conditioning in room but was just a fan.

Pros:

The location is absolutely ideal! It is situated directly across from the train station and near the Piece Hall for the concert we was attending. The hotel room met all our expectations and requirements. The receptionist, were extremely helpful and delivered a professional service that enhanced our stay. We had the breakfast which was lovely and nice selection. The price was reasonable, making it perfect for a a night away.

Cons:

We had no complaints.

Great location, comfy bed, close to piece hall
Pros:

Great location, close to everything, on site bar if you want a few drinks before heading out & they serve food, the double bed in my room was comfortable.

Cons:

Room a bit grubby, cobwebs around the lights, stains on walls which could all be easily remedied with a good clean & a lick of paint.

Pros:

The staff are absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us

Cons:

The rooms are very dated, the shower tap mixer, really could do with updating to electric showers. The rooms could also do with having a mini fridge.
Our ceiling looks like it is about to collapse on you, we had a tiny window and the blind was broken so couldn't pull up to allow any light in. The spot lights on the walls are loose and had me worried to use one of them as you could turn it all the way around and it was wobbly in your hand.
For the price you pay for a room only, it's not worth the money.
The good thing about this hotel is where it is positioned.
Update the rooms and this hotel will be perfect.
Also, make sure you have £100 for a deposit when you arrive, which you will get back if there's no breakages but we was not told of this before we arrived.

Parking cost £17.50 for 1 night.
Pros:

Decent sized room, comfortable bed, with good bedding and towels. Good TV with all the apps. Bath requested was provided.. Breakfast food and sausages were nice. Staff present were friendly.Hakifax is nice.

Cons:

Parking cost a total of £17.50, £3 to park across busy roadworks to drop bags at hotel and £14.50 to park overnight at Eureka, which is a fair walk, further than you might think on the map because you have to follow roads. Staff didn't know of any alternative. I noted there was an attached staff car park but I wasn't invited to park here to drop bags, which would have been cheaper, safer and easier.
£100 deposit taken from card in advance for room - told it would be returned "unless there's evidence of you smoking" (felt a bit judgemental) Never had to do that at a hotel before, usually just give card details.
I was advised to be at breakfast for 0930 on a Sunday, because they stop serving at 10am. Breakfast is served at a separate cafe which is open until 6pm, so that seemed unnecessarily early. Lights in restaurant turned off automatically every two minutes and staff had to reset them. Juice was extra and pre booking is more expensive than the public rate of £9 for breakfast + £2.50 for a coffee (although I had two coffees). Don't pre-book and you can eat when you want to! Only one member of staff in breakfast room who wasn't there when we arrived. You are only permitted one item from menu and a hot drink.
4 flights of narrow stairs to room on 3rd floor. Very difficult with suitcases and luggage from across the road (30C temperatures that day) and no help offered. No water in room other than tap water.
Bath had a lot of black mould as did bathroom ceiling bedroom carpet was badly stained. One of the two blinds in the room had no pull cord so had to be rolled down by hand. Ceiling is cracked around the edges of many plasterboards and very visible from the bed.
Overall, felt that guests were treated as something of an inconvenience and risk by the management systems, not the staff themselves. Very little extension of trust to guests, which left me feeling superfluous, rather than welcomed.

Good for gigs at Piece Hall
Pros:

Stayed here for a gig at Piece Hall and was fine just to have somewhere to leave our stuff and crash for the night. Location wise its perfect...literally 1 minut walk from the venue and across the road from the train station. Hotel is a bit tired but bed was comfy enough and no real complaints, although wouldnt like to have an extended stay. No lift for those who struggle with stairs. Has an Indian restaurant adjoining it but hotel guests eat in a seperate dining area and have to go to the reception area where the food/buffet is. Why they dont just have it in the dining room I dont know !
