Pros:

This was a returning visit, it is a great location to the train station and to the event we was going to.
The rooms are clean and tidy.
I had booked a twin room and was given a double room, this was sorted immediatly when we raised it by the staff member who checked us in.

Cons:

On arrival, we had to press the bell 4 times, finally someone came to see us, this person was on their break and cut it short to see us and check us in.
There was another member of staff who was sat on the tables in reception, they did not once acknowlege we was there and completly ignored us and carried on with their phone conversation. i think this is extreamly rude and unprofessional, they could have at least acknowledged we was there and asked us to wait for assistance.

Very poor. First time in a hotel when I did not stay to enjoy the breakfast

This hotel is on the mend
Pros:

I stay here often and keep returning, as I work local and its the staff that makes this hotel warm and welcoming. The new manager particularly has been very impressive. There is a plan to revamp the rooms as some appear a little tired, but progress is being made. The internet is now stable, as it used to drop out randomly for many months, so working from the hotel is now doable.

Acceptable touring stay over property.
Pros:

The property is in a prime location for Piece Hall around the corner, for gigs. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

While clean and comfortable the room was basic for the fee charged and I did not care for the £100 security charge upon check in, that was slow to refund after check out. I would stay here again however as the property is in a prime location.

Friendly staff
Bacon and Egg sandwich on day 2 - spot on !

Cons:

Room looked a little tired - stained carpet
Shower curtain should be bigger

You have to pay a £100 on entrance and only get this back if you haven’t broken anything. This is twice what the room itself cost!
Breakfast limited - choice of coco pops or weetabix. No marmalade.
Torn and wornout bath mat.
Knockiing noise in night.
Stayed there years ago - gone downhill since then
