Location to Piece Hall
Overpriced for the type of hotel it is but obviously taking advantage of location and lack of other accommodation nearby
Fantastic for visiting the piece hall as literally around the corner. Standard room, basic . Staff very friendly and breakfast was good.
Location was nice and central to local attractions and station.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hot drinks, kettle, TV and many socket available within the room
Bed was broken, as you stand by the foot of the bed, the back right corner had collapsed some time before my stay and hadn't been noticed by staff, photo is attached.
Shower gel was not restocked before or during my stay.
Shower curtain covers drain so if you have a long shower you will likely flood the bathroom so do be careful.
Easy to find as straight outside of the train station and great location for the piece hall which is why we stayed
No one on reception when we first got there so had to wait and on leaving it was a case of just leave your key on reception
Room was a bit tatty as was the bathroom.
Though didn't spend long in the room we did go back for a rest before gig , pillows were flat and I banged my head on headboard as I went to sit back, and I could only see half the TV when sat on bed, the kettle wouldn't work in the morning so couldn't have a cup of tea before we left.
I have payed less for a room with much better spec than this had.
Great location - needed a one night stop over due to commitments in the local area. This was well suited, giving great access to the town for shopping, food and drinks.
Location was great. Staff fantastic, pleasant and happy to help. Cafe attached to the hotel provided the included breakfast which was very nice and a reasonable portion to set you up for the day.
It was super close to the concert venue and train station
I expect it to be better for the price honestly
Basic hotel bit old fashioned think it relies on its vicinity to pierce hall for most custom
Not that we didn't like it but as stated old fashioned and a bit dated could do with modernisation 9pm
Perfect location for our visit to Halifax (Piece Hall). Easy access - car park and train station were a stone's throw. Check in/out easy and staff were friendly.
Nothing much, if I had to criticise anything it would be to say the duvets were too heavy for a hot day in August.
Great location, nice bar and the restaurant was great- nice staff
Very clean- bedrooms could do with some love
Currently no parking-
Wij ware er een paar dagen voor een concert in Piece Hall. Hotel ligt er letterlijk naast. Fantastische locatie.
Bar is 24/7 open dus erg fijn om na afloop een drankje te kunnen doen.
Niets. Werkelijk waar alles was top geregeld.
There wasn't much too like about this property very run down hotel
The room wasn't clean and the facilities in the room were in bad condition, there was exposed wires to the plug socket, a big gap in the wall by the bed, poor and neglected bathroom also no toilet roll holder. I am asthmatic and the room was very dusty also not good for my condition. There were no knots on the bedside table just 2 screws exposed.
Very convenient for Piece Hall. The Indian food was excellent 👌 the staff were superb and very accommodating.
The room was good but would have been great for the money if it was a bit more modern. Needs a bit of updating and the double bed was two singles so falling down between mattresses was inevitable.
Other than that I'd book again because of the location and staff.
There was only person on duty during the stay, although he was very helpful and friendly . Had to queue for a while at check-in and meant the bar area had no staff to serve guests.
Efficient check in, the staff were all friendly and the £100 safety deposit was refunded shortly after we checked out.
The room was a good size, comfortable and thankfully had a fan. Someone took our heavy case upstairs as he saw us struggling, which was very much appreciated. The rooms may be a little dated for some people's tastes, but it's a very old building with character rather than a sterile chain hotel.
The location was excellent for The Piece Hall, especially if you need to use the East Gate, which is only a 2-3 minute walk.
It was good having somewhere to get a reasonably priced drink and wind down before going back upstairs to sleep off an excellent gig! Met some fellow fans, got chatting & tipsy, then bought a round of 7 drinks which was half the price it would have been down south!
The council has dug up the car park - there were lots of roadworks around - but there was plenty of parking in the Eureka car park at £14.50 for 24 hours (there was a notice saying £8 for Piece Hall visitors, but I couldn't see any instructions how to get that rate).
£213 for one night in a twin room is a lot, but all hotel prices have shot up in recent years, and you're paying for the prime location. At least you won't need to pay for taxis!
THERE IS NO LIFT! There aren't any bedrooms on the ground floor and there may not always be a member of staff around to assist with luggage, so pack light.
We were unable to order from the cafe bar menu around 5.30pm as the kitchen swapped over to the Indian menu at 6pm. One meal came out quickly, but the other one took about 25 minutes. Neither were brilliant, so we skipped breakfast.
Locations near piece hall
Needs updating. Bathroom terrible needs a proper shower.
Location couldn't be better. A few minutes walk from the train station and a few minutes from the Piece Hall where we went to a concert. Good cooked breakfast.
Small room with enormous bed so very little space around it. Only one bedside socket so unable to use kettle/charger. Tv on bench sideways on so couldn't watch from the bed. Had to wait 50 minutes for the cooked breakfast, no self service juices or cereals. Really quite expensive at £191.
