The location worked well for me, although I prefer being able to walk to restaurants. Fortunately, there were many restaurants near our stay.
Although it’s not downtown Philadelphia, it is near a trendy fun neighborhood. The rooms are spotless clean and comfortable. We came for a spring regatta and hotel is 15 minutes away by car.
The convenience of retail and dining all around the hotel. The folks running the place were very nice. The interior decor ranges from Really? To Why not?
Old hotel, within a very thin walls.
Front desk staff was excellent!!
Sheets on the bed had a few stains. Ceiling in room needed a better cleaning.
nothing. we didnt stay and just took the loss for two rooms.
We ended up not staying because the area is very dangerous and the parking lot was open with shady people everywhere.
Property was nice and clean. Smelled amazing as you walk in.
I didn’t care for the location. Hard pulling into the property due to being on a busy street. The parking “garage” is very small for the amount of rooms the hotel holds. Had to park on the street one night due to no parking left.
Everything was as expected, though l like rooms with more natural sunlight
Location.
Not enough cable channels. No working desk in room, coffee maker and trash can in bathroom for the price "everyone equally" are paying.
The stay was enjoyable, although i prefer larger work desks
Nothing!
We had a clogged sink and when we reported it we were told not to use it and to use the tub to wash our faces and brush our teeth.
Convience.
Not enough cable channels to select from... should have "Roku" a "better" , cheaper choice. No working desk in room, should be in "every" room, for the "same" price as all other rooms, and no "coffee maker" either, nor "trash basket" in bathroom. Every room should have the same, for the "same" price, customers are "all" paying...other than that...no complaints
I loved the location! It’s walking distance from the Belmont Plateau (where Will Smith shot his music video for “Summertime”), a $20 Lyft/Uber from Center City and 30th St Station, across the street from a nice stroll along the water, AND around many stores. Philadelphia was crowded during my stay and tourists were desperate for hotel rooms, though this place was full, the man at the front desk was calling around to hotels in an effort to help whoever needed a place to stay.
It needs a major upgrade. I definitely checked for bed bugs when I got there, nothing to report. The beds were uncomfortable and there weren’t closets, just hooks. It seems like the only upgrade this place has gone under since 2010 are Smart TVs. It’s a shame because this place has too much character and potential for there to be issues like raggedy towels or chipped paint.
