The staff was super friendly and helpful at check in.
The building is older so the elevator was small. I have issues with tight spaces. And all of the dresser drawers kept opening, I'm assuming its because the building is on a slant...kinda creepy.
Decent distance from the airport. Everything else was booked due to all the flight delays cancellations.
The fact that I had to call the front desk because my daughter was too afraid to go in because there was a herd of people blocking the entrance who were at a party in the ballroom.
Clean
Location
Very cleanand quiet at a pretty good price. Very unusual/funky atmosphere and decor (pro AND con). Large drawer unit for clothing (but no closet). Huge TV but only with streaming - no local/network. Beds were quite firm but fairly comfortable.
Question emailed 2 weeks prior about transportation options to local event went unanswered. Front desk staff was devoid of personality and not knowledgeable about the area (food, shopping, etc). Unusual room set up and decor (see pix) with no chair at desk and odd sitting area with uncomfortable chair. NO closet - just a coat rack and a couple hangers. Lighting and outlets could be better or more plentiful. Bathroom has NO towel bars or hooks of any kind. Towels are the most basic, minimal type and qty. Water pressure is non-existent. Toiletries are very basic (cheap soap and ok shampoo). Coffee maker (Keurig) in room but no food/breakfast.
All super good and excellent service
???
Room was hot
I thought the decor was pretty and colorful.
The AC was not working and it was incredibly hot in our room. The fan staff brought up did nothing to help with the heat. The bathroom was dirty. When I left I saw a cockroach on the desk. When I wanted to check out, I waited and staff never came to the desk. I called the number that was left on the desk but got no answer.
Nice spacious room, loved relaxing in the tub, nice large TV
BED BUGS
This is a wonderful independent hotel. I had to book with them at the last minute after another hotel messed up my reservation. Rooms were scarce in Philly due to the July 4th holiday and World Cup games.
The first room I was given had a problem with the air conditioner. The hotel staff cheerfully moved me to a different room. The room was clean, and the facilities were nice for this price. When I return to Philadelphia, I will definitely book with them again if they are available.
The hotel location is pretty far from most city attractions. None the less, it’s a great facility.
What I liked was the clean room and the customer service.
Where to begin? As soon as I walked into the lobby, my first impression was this was a sleezy hotel based on the customers that was booked for the night. Also, as soon as I walked into my room, the first thing I noticed was the smell of cigarettes. The room was clean, but for the love of God, the smell was horrible.
The bathroom had been recently updated and fully functional. The TV was large and they didn't have the modern UI, it was good ol' regular cable TV. For the short time I had a signal. 😒 I was able to pay at check-in, which was nice. Free parking in back. Close to the Art Museum.
Old, former office building perhaps? Desperately in need of modernization. Visited during the Heatwave of 2026, the room A/C was NOT up to the task of cooling the room. I slept sideways on the bed in front of the A/C unit, just to be able to sleep in the heat. Not your fault, not my fault either.
