Surprisingly good stay
Pros:

It's a great hotel with history.

Cons:

We have spent too little time in this hotel - just one night and most of it has been perfect. If I'd want to critisize something there it's the state of the gardens. It's hard to say if they are up and coming or deteriorating - they have great potential, but it does not look like the management has enough money and resources to keep it at the level of luxury. One more minor think - hot tub outside next to the pool is not hot. May be it's a kiddy pool, we did not have time to ask, but they don't have a hot tub inside (have a good sauna though). They also have a nice inside pool for which they for some reason require a cap. That spoils the whole thing. If I had more than one night there I would gladly buy one - they sell them at the spa, but for a 15 min swim it's just not worth the hustle. Otherwise the stuff was fantastic.

Beleza, sossego e conforto.
Pros:

O lugar é tão lindo!!! Isto já vale!!! Para onde você olha tem a exuberância dos jardins!!! A cama é excelente, o restaurante do hotel é muito bom! Um menu degustação excelente! Imperdível para quem vem a Coimbra!

Tem alguns móveis precisando de recuperação.

אהבנו מאד את המלון. את השילוב בין הסטוריה ומסורת לבין מתקנים מודרניים. השירות היה ברמה הגבוהה ביותר, במיוחד בלט מנהל המלון קרלוס שיצא מגדרו כדי שהשהות שלנו תהיה נעימה ככל האפשר

Lovely quiet historic, secluded hotel.
Pros:

Beautiful gardens, pool, room, huge well appointed suite. Beautiful breakfast buffet including hot items.

Cons:

Secluded location away from main shopping area. This is a plus as well as a minus.
Many stairs to get to dining as well as breakfast. Elevator was out of order the 24 hours of our reservation and we were on second floor
