Best downtown St Louis hotel option!
Pros:

Proximity to ballpark and location were wonderful. Front desk staff was awesome (thank you Jacob!). Drinks at the bar were convenient and good! Highly recommend!

The bed was comfortable but the room had a bad odor.
Pros:

The room was big and the bed was comfortable but the room did not smell good at all. The location of the hotel was ideal for a baseball game but the parking lot was very run down and had trash and did not seem very secure for the price.

Cons:

The smell of the room and the parking lot was not worth the price charged.

Perfect location.
Pros:

Went to a Cards game. Location was perfect. Across the street from the stadium and bars and restaurants after the game. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Probably would stay again because of location
Pros:

Rooms were nice, people were mostly friendly and bar was so so.

Cons:

The bathroom, especially in the shower the bench was held up by a piece of wood. And the way the shower was, water running out making the floor wet and the tiles getting wet that could be a hazard or even a lawsuit waiting to happen.

セントルイス・カーディナルスの本拠地、ブッシュスタジアムのすぐ近く。

Cons:

遠い昔に高級ホテルとして認識されていた The Westin とは別物になっているようです。
4つ星と分類されているのかもしれないこのホテルですが、実際は、3つ星の実力でしょう。さらに言えば、3つ星なら、電子レンジが部屋にあるとか、コインランドリーがあるとか、そういうメリットがありますが、こちらは4つ星だからか、そういうものがありません。

ホテル全体でも、人的リソース、設備、備品などのいろいろな面でリソースを節約しているようです。
チェックイン・チェックアウトが多くなる時間帯は、列がとても長くなっていました。
部屋の電話についている Service Express というボタンも、レセプションデスクへの直通電話なのでしょう。忙しそうな時間帯には、何度かけてもだれも出てくれませんでした。

わたしたちのチェックインのときには、あまりレセプションの人の対応が事務的で簡単すぎたので、なにかおかしいと思い、「朝食込みのはず」というと、彼女は、無表情に、スクリーンを再確認したかどうかわかりませんでしたが、クーポンを一枚くれました。
「いや、わたしたちは3泊するんですよ。」というと、隣のレセプションの人に何かを訊いたあと、もう2枚くれました。どういうことだったのか、よくわかりません。

なお、朝食時にはレストランの人たちはクーポンをごく自然に受け取っていたし、隣のテーブルのアメリカ人夫妻らしき人たちがクーポンを出していたのを見たので、クーポンが普通に使われているのは間違いないはずです。

建物や (少なくとも私たちの) 客室はあからさまに破損しているところは見当たらないとはいえ、古さを感じさせるものです。
部屋に置かれているアメニティセットは、石鹸・シャンプー類以外はゼロです。

部屋には、椅子が一つしかありません。ソファーが一つとかではなく、テーブル用の椅子が一つあるだけで、ほかに坐る場所がないのです。
コーヒーを飲もうとしても、一人分しか坐る場所がないのでもう一人はフットベンチ (ベッドエンドベンチ) かベッドの上に坐るということになります。

TVは最近のインターネット対応のものになっており、Youtube も見られましたが、どういうわけか2日目には「インターネット接続がない」というエラーになり、使えなくなりました。メンテナンスの人が来てくれましたが彼には直せませんでした。

朝食のためにレストランに行くと、サーバーの人たちが不足しているのかどうかわかりませんが、席に着くのに時間がかかり、わたしたちが席で何かを依頼しようとするにも時間がかかりました。
なお、朝食込みプランと言っても、ありがちな「一人$25まで」の方式でした。

昨今は、ランクの高いホテルは、ハウスキーピングにもある程度コストをかけるようになってていると聞きますが、ここでは、働いている人には申し訣ないが、そういう感じはしませんでした。
一部屋当たりに時間がかかっているのか、人が少なすぎるのか、ハウスキーピングが来る時間帯が、午後6時ころだったり、午後1時ころだったりしましたが、それはともかくとして、部屋にいるときにハウスキーピングとして来てくれた人に、(bath towel その他の簡単な英単語も通じなかったのには少し驚きましたが)タオルの交換を頼んだら、それをした後、ベッドやごみ箱について何もしないで彼女が帰っていきそうになりました。そういえば、彼女は浴槽の掃除はしてくれませんでした。
3ドルのチップを渡しましたが、少なすぎたのでしょうか?

実のところ、Booking.com のレビューを見て、このホテルが許容範囲と見たのですが、今回は失敗でした。Booking.com に限らず、レビューの真実を読み取るには注意を払っているのですが、このホテルへの好意的なレビューが多いことが不思議です。日本人が歓迎されていないだけでしょうか。

このようなたぐいのレビューには、GMや部門責任者の方から「これは当ホテルの基準に合致していない。次は完全に満足していただけることを約束する。」とか「問題はすべて改善しました。」と返ってくることがほかのホテルのレビューを見ていると多いようです。
このホテルについてはどうかわかりませんが、いずれにしても、そのようなレビューへの返答は観察していると、どのホテルでも後になっても解決していない事柄を教えてくれるものになっていることがしばしば見受けられます。

マリオットグループの、このホテルにおいても、いろいろなことが改善することはとても難しかろうと想像します。
マリオットグループでは一部を除き、星の数を一つずつ減らして見るのがいいのかも。

Nice hotel, but service can improve.

Check-in was the best part. Very helpful front desk.

Physically, hotel is nice - it is airy with high ceilings. Room is large.

Daily room service was inattentive though and neglected to stock items, which is rare in our experience, especially for this category. Our room contained ONE coffee cup, TWO lids, ONE water bottle, ONE plastic cup, and ZERO glasses. It just seemed a little inattentive. When we asked for some glasses later in the evening (different crew worked the front desk) we were told they will ‘try to get them’. Needless to say we never received them.

Gym is rather small for hotel size. Inexpensive street or lot parking next to hotel.

The service at the bar was amazing.
Pros:

Jamaal is hands down the best! From start to finish, he was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. His customer service went above and beyond — you can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. He made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. Easily a 10/10 — I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!
