As a Hilton Diamond member, I was extremely disappointed with this property. I chose this hotel for a couples trip and honestly felt like I let our group down because it did not come close to meeting the expectations created by the reviews or the Hilton brand.

First, I want future guests to be aware that this hotel is not truly oceanfront. The website and room descriptions gave the impression that we were booking an oceanfront room, but the hotel is actually across the street from the beach. Yes, we could see the ocean from our room, but that's very different from being directly on the ocean. That felt misleading and was a major disappointment from the start.

The check-in experience didn't help matters. The front desk associate who assisted us was impatient and unfriendly, making us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests, and didn't recognize me as a Hilton Honors member.

The biggest issue was the property's overall condition and cleanliness. While I understand that hotels near the ocean deal with salt air and wear and tear, maintenance still matters. There was visible rust throughout the property—in the guest room, bathroom fixtures, shower areas, and common spaces. The caulking and trim looked neglected, and several areas appeared overdue for renovation.

The lobby seating areas and carpets looked dirty and heavily worn. The outdoor furniture around the pool was stained and in poor condition. Throughout the hotel, everything felt dated and tired rather than refreshed and well-maintained.

One guest in our group discovered stains on the bedding and contacted the front desk to request replacement linens. Despite reporting the issue, no one ever came to address it. That was unacceptable and left a very negative impression.

For the nightly rate being charged, I expected a property that was much better maintained. Instead, it felt like a hotel that has been operating on reputation while postponing needed updates and renovations.

The only bright spot of our stay was the complimentary breakfast, which was actually very good. Unfortunately, even the evening reception was disappointing, with limited drink options and very little offered compared to other Embassy Suites properties we've visited.

Overall, this hotel fell far short of both the reviews I read and the standards I've come to expect from Hilton. Until significant renovations and improvements are made, I would choose another property for a beach vacation.

Rating: 2/5 – Giving two stars only because the breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast area were pleasant. Everything else was a disappointment.

The breakfast was the best I’ve had, great variety and everything was fresh and cooked perfectly! On top of buffet there were chefs making fresh eggs and omelets as well as avocado toast…so delicious! The room was spacious and the beds were super comfortable.
