This is truly an 5-star hotel, which is rare. Everything was excellent-room, staff, service, response, facilities, amenities, ambiance.
Pet fee was high. Laundry fee was high. Not unexpected.
The rooms were a very nice size and the breakfast was very good. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and welcome.
Simply The Best Hotel in Barcelona - we’ve visited Barcelona on several occasions but this was our first time at El Palace (formerly the Ritz) - it’s lost none of it grandeur and boasts some wonderful period rooms such as the grand hall , the breakfast garden, the rooftop restaurant etc. The rooms are spacious, with excellent bathrooms but what really makes this place special also is its staff as nothing is too much. A special thanks to Ana at front desk for her assistance upon check out. On a separate point the location is also perfect for walks, shopping and main visit sites.
A must stay place when visiting.
Large rooms, great view of the streets of Barcelona, the theme of the hotel is historical and beautiful . The room key is a treasure on its own.
The breakfast isn’t what I expected. A bit average compared to everything else on the hotel
Расположение отличное, завтраки тоже очень неплохие , в очень красивом месте. Вообще первый этаж отеля действительно похож на дворец .
Меню в ресторане на крыше отеля можно было бы улучшить и разнообразить
I really enjoyed the time I spent in "Hotel El Palace Barcelona" and I wish I had more time to spend there. The hotel is very nice and the staff is great! The hotel room I stayed in is large even the bathroom! If I ever vacation back to Barcelona again, I definitely will consider going back to this hotel again and spend more time there than I was able to this time. The rooms are very clean. The noise level is low. The location is great! I love the red parts of the hotel from awnings to curtains.
Loved the place. Everything was top notch.. staff very friendly and helpful. Maybe breakfast didn’t have loads of varieties
The stay was very nice and relaxing..
We stayed 5 nights with family trip. Hotel was much smaller than I thought, Very small front desk tucked in by the entrance, mainly helped with concierge. Concierge was always there to help. This hotel is more than a pretty, nicely maintained clean room for old building, service was just amazing.
1. Location:
Cannot think any better. Walking distance to Gaudi's house, Gothic quarter (great shopping, eating), main shopping area. Safe to walk around.
2. Service:
Most memorable about this hotel was their service. I did not expect much of service but it turned out service was top notch, everywhere in the hotel. I was inquiring about tours, getting tickets etc and this hotel is THE only one responding within 6hrs for every email I sent. I couldn't get the tickets for Sagarada Familiar but hotel reserved the tickets for me, ready for us to pick up at the concierge desk. Concierge was always attentive, available to help. Room was cleaned twice daily in timely manner.
3. Room:
I got junior suite which is facing great of the building. Window will not open all the way so you do not get much of the views, unfortunately. We requested for 2 twin, so they made into 2 twin stuck to each other (typical European hotel). Room has double size couch, working desk, separate walk-in closets, and large bathroom with 2 sink comes with large walk in shower stall and stand alone tub with beautiful classical chrome fixtures. We were traveling 5 weeks and has lots o luggage, but everything fits within the closets and was able to make comfortable stay.
4. Restaurants:
We had beautiful breakfast in the back of the building in conservatory area (like a green house). Beautiful buffet, top notch quick service. Food quality was ok.
We also had dinner at the roof top, which you MUST try. View were amazing (can see Segrada Famila from the rooftop), great service and live MUSIC. Guiltar/Violin music was SO good, you'd never want to miss.
5. Overall:
If you can afford it, this is the only place to stop in Barcelona. Great doorman, great concierge, restaurant is not crowded and attendants are always available. I stayed at Bvlgari Tokyo, Peninsula Tokyo, Ritz Halfmoon bay, Ritz SF, Ritz Fukuoka in the past few years and top service was Bulvari Tokyo, Peninsula Tokyo, Ritz Fukuoka and this one so far. There are few steps into elevator so it might not be great option for the wheelchair or disabled. It's expensive hotel but service is what we paid for, I think. Highly recommend.
A stunning, bright and beautiful hotel. Our room was gorgeous with a huge elegant bathroom. Bed was so comfortable. Had delicious cakes in the lobby bar. Wish we could have stayed longer. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
Nothing! It’s amazing
El desayuno fue una experiencia 5 estrellas personal super atento a todo detalle
