The bed and pillows were just right. We enjoyed the hot tub.
The breakfast could have been better but was acceptable.
Clean
Nice
We love staying here, the stag are friendly and helpful, the room is spacious, breakfast is good. We didn't use the pool but it's open 24 hrs and after 11pm is adults only. Plus right near the hiway to get to everything.
The breakfast was very good. Much better than my previous stays. The eggs were hot and actually tasted like scrambled eggs. The sausage was also tasty and I enjoyed the mini blueberry muffins! Thank you for offering a nice selection to start my day.
Well the electric went out around 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. Thankfully it came back on. Our room stayed at a comfortable temperature. The shower was great and the beds were comfortable.
Friendly staff, clean, and met all of our needs
Very nice and friendly staff, clean and comfortable. In particular, manager Tiffany was very friendly and helpful.
Nice room great staff decent breakfast
Not a thing
Near my job
Refrigerators need to be updated didn’t get cold until the next morning
Room was OK but the view was awful. Having tea bags available in the lobby was good.
The lack of coffee pods in my room. I did NOT sign up for lobby coffee. I wouldn't ave stayed here if I knew the manager did away with regular and eventually all coffee pods and Keurig makers in the rooms. NOT OK. To placate the guests, there were decaf pods in the room. I asked for regular coffee and e said there's coffee in the lobby! I told him that's not ok but e didn't seem to care. The breakfast had NO yogurt the first day and absolutely NO fresh fruit whatsoever. Again, I didn't bargain for such a crappy breakfast. I will NOT be staying here again for these reasons.
Our stay at La Quinta in Sunset Hills was a mixed experience. No huge positives, no huge negatives.
On the positive side, Tiffani at the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and pleasant throughout our stay, although one front desk employee was loudly yelling on her phone, which wasn’t the best impression.
The hotel is older but has clearly been renovated. Our room was clean, and the linens and towels were soft, fresh, and well-maintained. However, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which may have been related to a small mold spot on the ceiling. The bathroom also stayed very humid since there isn’t an exhaust fan.
The location feels convenient, central, and generally safe. That said, the front desk was discussing several car break-ins that had happened the night we checked in, which definitely made us a little uneasy about leaving our vehicle outside.
One of the biggest disappointments was the pool. It was closed for most of our stay, and staff told us it was “very dirty and needed to be professionally shocked,” so we weren’t able to use one of the amenities we were looking forward to.
Overall, this hotel is about what you’d expect for around $140 per night. The rooms and amenities reflect the budget-friendly price, you get what you pay for. While I wouldn’t completely rule out staying here again, it’s unlikely I’d choose it over other hotel brands (Drury, Marriott, etc).
Location and overall infrastructure.
We stayed at the hotel for four days. Not once during our entire stay was our room cleaned. I don't know if there's a "zero housekeeping" policy, but we were never informed. In short, terrible value for money.
