I've stayed at many Hyatt properties over the years, and the Grand Hyatt Seattle is definitely one of my favorites. We stayed in the Emerald Suite on the 30th floor, and the experience exceeded our expectations.
The location is excellent. From our suite, we had a beautiful view that even included Pike Place Market in the distance, and the water in the distance. One of the biggest conveniences was that Qiao Lin Hotpot is connected directly to the hotel by an enclosed walkway, so we didn't even have to step outside. The restaurant was outstanding and made for a perfect dinner after a long day of sightseeing.
Another great perk is that the hotel is directly across the street from Pacific Place, where you'll find a branch of Pike Place Chowder. It serves the same delicious chowder as the famous Pike Place Market location but with a fraction of the wait. We were able to enjoy one of Seattle's most famous foods without spending a long time standing in line.
The service throughout our stay was warm and friendly. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. The Grand Club lounge offered a good, basic breakfast each morning with eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, coffee, and other essentials. It wasn't extravagant, but it was more than enough to start the day before heading out to explore Seattle.
Our Emerald Suite was spacious, very clean, and exceptionally well maintained. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, and the room felt comfortable throughout our stay.
The only downside was parking. If you're looking for self-parking with in-and-out privileges, there aren't many convenient options around the hotel. We ultimately chose valet parking because it was the easiest solution. That said, this is more of a downtown Seattle issue than a problem unique to the Grand Hyatt, so I wouldn't let it discourage anyone from staying here.
Overall, we had an excellent experience. Between the outstanding location, comfortable accommodations, friendly service, and convenient access to great dining, the Grand Hyatt Seattle is a fantastic place to stay. We would absolutely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Seattle.
Great Hotel located centrally to all of the main attractions in down town Seattle. The hotel is an easy walk from the light rail from the airport without the need to rent a car or hire a taxi. Very convenient.
The Grand Hyatt Seattle is located downtown close to the Seattle Convention Center. The hotel is clean modern and the front desk staff are efficient. I stayed in a corner suite on the 25th floor so I had nice views of the Seattle skyline. The bathroom was modern and tasteful but there was no telephone in the bathroom. The hotel has a Ruth’s Chris restaurant next door which can be reached directly from the lobby. They also have a good lobby bar. The hotel is very reasonably priced for its location. The hotel definitely has a convention vibe which makes sense because that’s why I was staying there. Overall a good place to stay if you have meetings downtown.
I was overcharged! I would have been better walking in off the street and getting a room for the night. By booking in advance, I paid hundreds more than guests in my same room type and on the same floor!! I would have been better off cancelling my reservation and booing at the rate the front desk was booking everyone else. The hotel manager is not truly interested in providing good customer service. The free breakfast is gross. Everything is overpriced and the hotel is not easy to access.
Nothing short of "Grand". Great property and staff. Would stay again anytime. Location is prime for business and touring. Ruth Chris next door is icing on the cake.
Great hotel that we loved; would return again. Seeing the SF Giants players was a plus. Out home was spotless; easy walking distance to many things. We took Lime bikes to the ballpark.
I had an excellent stay at Grand Hyatt Seattle during a business trip.
The hotel is in a fantastic downtown location, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and the Seattle Convention Center. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay.
There was one minor issue at check-in. Our group arrived a little before the official check-in time. While several of my colleagues, who had booked through the same company reservation process, were able to receive their rooms immediately, mine was the only room that was not yet ready. I completely understand that I had arrived before the standard check-in time and that room availability depends on operational circumstances. It was not a major inconvenience, but being the only person in the group who had to wait was a little disappointing.
That said, this small moment did not take away from what was otherwise an outstanding stay. Last year, I stayed at Thompson Seattle by Hyatt and had an excellent experience, which is why I chose another Hyatt property for this trip. Grand Hyatt Seattle once again lived up to my expectations. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers.
We had a very mixed experience at The Grand Hyatt. Check in was smooth. We stayed in the Emerald Suite. It was very large with beautiful floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. The sunset was exquisite. Unfortunately we had a lot of issues. First and foremost, the internet was spotty at best. It barely worked. Therefore it was impossible for us to get any work done in our room. This was awful. Second, there is no door between the living room and the bedroom. There is no privacy. If someone needed to change clothes they had to go into the bathroom. Also, the hideaway bed in the sofa was so noisy that we could hear our kids turning over on the mattress. Even though we were on the 27th floor the street noise all night was so loud. The pillows were hard. The Nespresso machine was nice but the pods in the box didn't match the guide on the box. We had limited choices. Tea bags were provided but there was no way to make hot water. The shower head looked like it was from the '80's. The towels were small and thin. The toilet paper was very cheap. We were charged for the water bottles in our room. At the very least being Hyatt members we should have gotten free water. Most hotels provide free water these days. The hotel's location is the biggest bonus. We walked to every major Seattle attraction and appreciated its central location.
The hotel is in a great location, 25mins from the car rental centre at SEA. Our suite (room 2903) was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lobby is a little dark and dated, but every staff members we encountered was warm, helpful, and an asset to the hotel.
We chose the Grand Hyatt and were not disappointed! The location is perfect for a downtown Seattle visit. Even with the WorldCup in town the hotel operated well! Enjoyed the visit!
Real fancy place right downtown. Quiet rooms, big gym, plenty to eat around the hotel. It's nice but I don't see it being any different than any other fancy hotel.
THe room was lovely and the bathroom was one the best I've seen.
Bed was amazing! So comfortable. And the staff was super helpful and friendly.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
