Solid stay
Pros:

Close to freeway, interior courtyard rooms are pretty quiet. The AC was cold and quiet, the front desk staff was prompt and friendly

Cons:

Some rooms faced the freeway which I imagine could get loud. Also, I’m not sure if every room has upgraded ac, I saw many that seemed to have the older, louder, pass-through units. I recommend choosing a room that faces the courtyard to be safe

If you report DV to the police they won't let you stay here. (Not my DV)
Pros:

I reported Domestic Violence to the police after a huge yelling session followed by clunks and then a sharp noise and pain sounds. After I checked out, and wanted to book again, I was refused. The manager at this place has never once been pleasant... and my reviews reflect that. It doesn't make apparent Administrative Retaliation legal in the State of California.

Young ppl at desk are nice but managers protect apparent Domestic Violence perps?
Pros:

I reported DV in another room and later was told I couldn't stay there anymore. I have stayed at this motel so many times I cannot count them, but never had a pleasant interaction with Regina or the other senior-citizen manager. Perhaps this is why they cycle through 20 year-olds every couple of months at the front desk?

Great pool, good location, can’t check in 1 minute early
Pros:

Nice pool, budget friendly, good location to Malibu beach for sunset.

Cons:

We tried to check in 8 mins before 3pm and they made us wait in reception which was a bit annoying although understand it’s clearly their policy.
