Me and my friend done the dip and dine for the first time the dip was the best part of our day. Once we got up to the restaurant the whole experience went downhill. We went to the bar to find out we couldn’t order until 12noon which wasn’t the problem it was the staff!! We looked around and seen two gentleman having a pint and we then decided to join them while we waited the 15min to order our food to the reaction of the man behind the bar with long hair telling the server no we don’t do alcohol until 12 in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner, at the same time a gentleman was also getting served a pint of alcohol?!?! So we asked why we couldn’t (both 35yr old women) to just be ignored. We then didn’t want our day ruined by this rude man so ordered two soft drinks lime soda and blackcurrant water and these was made incorrectly and when we asked for the correct drinks was told this is what I ordered?!! Anyway after this horrible experience and our warm soft drinks we sat outside and when 12 hit we went to the busy bar and was served by a lady with lovely red curly hair which made the rest of our visit much better but the experience will make us not to return and the rude gentleman in question seemed to be more senior which for two women who work same industry know how to treat customers with respect.
I liked the whole vibe of the hotel and really liked how the hotel has HDMI ports because some hotels don't!! The room was also clean and tidy!
A lot of problems though with this room, I did not like how it was a zip and link bed. When on the booking.com it says a double bed so that was disappointing.
I did not like how the room had an adjoining room which was separated by a locked door. With this there was no privacy at all because the walls are so thin, we could hear everything (even people turning on/off lights and watching videos on their phones). It doesn't help how it's located near a main road as well and all night we could hear cars constantly which was severely off putting as well, especially when trying to sleep. Being a 4 star hotel, I would think this would be sorted and have soundproofing but this wasn't the case.
Another big problem was the bathroom. For instance, the shower had a shower curtain which was cheap and horrible as it wouldn't stop the water from splashing out.
This hotel in general felt like it was trying to prove that it is a 4 star but really should be a 3 star because of these issues. Glad we only stayed one night otherwise I would have been severely disappointed.
There were no AC and the fan provided didnt work, especially there were no alternative offer provided
Everything was Fantastic!
Having to leave lol
Great food, lovely back garden and good pool and spa facilities
The room, very dusty, shower could do with a repair and very bad air con unit
Lovely staff, good food and facilities
A really relaxed clean , friendly hotel, room was big, with a lounge area and balconey overlooking the pond.
For my self,it couldn’t be better.
Hotel was okay and serving staff in resteraunt night and morning very helpful - room comfortable and general facilities good.
For a 4 -star it was very worn around the edges and room old fashioned. This made the price for bed and breakfast very expensive, then to make it worse I was charged for parking despite being on a conference day delegate rate the day after.
