The hotel itself is lovely. My wife and I booked this for our wedding anniversary and tied it into some business too, the location was ideal for visiting Bath. Bed was so comfortable, woke feeling refreshed, which is rare for me. room was spacious, clean and tidy, and the en suite was nice and clean too, although not having a shower head that is wandering was a drawback. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and really tasty along with a very good selection.
Now the not so good parts.... parking available on site as per the description, £5 per night for parking, charge to use the pool facilities £15 each, OUCH! no mention of charges when booking! What's worse is that the pool is pretty cold, and numerous other guests were commenting about the pool temp too. In the end we just used the Jacuzzi for 20mins or so and left each day. The room cards also have a habit of dying, I had to get my card redone 1st morning, then wife's card in the evening!
The hotel was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and tea and coffee with biscuits. We liked the fresh milk dispenser in the corridor which meant fresh milk rather than uht milk for our morning tea. There was a cold water dispenser in the corridor too.
Large bottles of toiletries in the bathroom, a good idea for reducing plastic waste.
The soundproofing is excellent, we didn't hear any other noise from other rooms, or traffic.
Information cards explained about the big bottles in the bathroom and pillow choices.
The EV chargers were an essential feature for us. They are tucked away in the carpark, close to the building and you need your own cables, but easy to use.
The spa looked very enticing but I forgot to bring a costume.
We didn't eat here because we had already eaten. The bar was good.
The bed was comfortable but extremely creaky. Every movement caused a cacophony which was disturbing our sleep.
Two bases and mattresses pushed together to make a king-size bed also meant a dip in the middle.
The bathroom is in need of a thorough clean and possibly refit. There was black mold on and under the silicone sealant of both the sink and the bath. Clearly it had been refreshed at some point but not cleaned properly first.
The shower dripped all the time, which was irritating overnight.
The bathroom door showed signs of rot and the veneer was peeling off inside the bathroom.
The sink was obviously old and losing its porcelain finish, so it was clean but looked stained. This was disappointing as we were initially told our room was upgraded.
The prices appeared expensive for breakfast, £20 each, so we didn't bother. We had paid less for dinner somewhere else.

We had such a wonderful stay at Aztec Hotel & Spa and couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
From the moment we arrived, we were really impressed with the hotel. The whole place has a beautiful, modern and sophisticated feel, while still being warm and welcoming. Our room was lovely, comfortable and beautifully presented, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.The breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection of delicious food and plenty of choice to start the day.
What really stood out to us was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional throughout our stay, which made us feel genuinely welcomed and looked after.
