The staff are very friendly and helpful. It had the biggest bed I've ever slept in. There is an iron and ironing board also a hairdryer in the room. There is a very big car park which is free throughout your stay. The bar and restaurant is very roomy with different areas to sit.
There is nowhere in the room for your case, or to put any clothes except for a few hangers. We had to live out of the case which we left open on the floor, which is fine if you're only staying a night or two, but it got a bit annoying for our 4 night stay.
Good location
Stayed 3 nights and no housekeeping took place - had to ask for a clean towel, feel the price I paid should have a clean towel
The full English breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious!
It was very hot during our vacation and the Dragonfly hotel doesn’t have air conditioning. They did have fans, though.
Great place, friendly staff, decent sized room and they let us park our motorcycle outside reception.
The shower cubicle was a bit grubby and the water did not drain away properly, so after showering for a minute or so you're stood in a swimming pool (115) reported to reception but nothing done.
Friendly and efficient welcome. Very clean room with USB sockets and free WiFi. No a/c but fan cooling. Good sized car park. Bar and restaurant on-site. Supermarket and petrol station next door.
Not much to criticise. Ok it isn’t the Ritz and a/c would be nice. The checkout is maybe a little early (1100). The town centre is about a 10-15 minute walk away.
The room was clean and tidy
Insufficient staff, restaurant closed early, check in machine 'not working' according to member of staff. If this was the case, what was it not switched off or marked 'out of order'??
Breakfast was poor , good location for us to go to a wedding that was nearby.
Breakfast needs to be a lot better it lets the hotel and your stay down. A manager needs to experience breakfast and bring it up to standard.
Breakfast is badly organised, after taking our room number, there was no , have you stayed before , explanation of what to do , where to sit etc .
Having worked it out , bread for toast, pastries not present, no plates . We had to ask . One element of the hot food was missing at any one time , bacon , no sausages, sausages no bacon and so on . No one seemed to be bothered.
This lets the hotel down, I probably wouldn’t stay again because of this and I think others would feel the same to .
Aircon in the room would have been a good addition as it was hot
Good hotel
Only one member of staff on during the evening. He did really well but couldn’t cover the workload of reception and bar serving.
Nice location. Clean rooms and good food and drinks
They don’t have a lift lugging suitcases up and down stairs was a big inconvenience.
Reasonable value for money
After I had informed them the room door was not working properly after the first night at the hotel, an unknown person entered my room the following night
Breakfast was really good, good choice of food available
Pillows, I'm very fussy though
We liked the look of the hotel, it was conveniently located, the reception was good and efficient. The room was basic, the shower exceeded expectations. We liked the quiet corridors. We also liked the bar, which was open till late with friendly staff.
Breakfast was a little bit of a disappointment, as some of the food was luke warm. The coffee machine did not work, but that turned out to be the silver lining as we got a lovely Starbucks cappuccino from the bar instead.
