A beautiful visit in the countryside with a lovely ambience and character, history and elegance. It’s a place you cannot
Pros:

It was truly beautiful with gorgeous gardens and quaint cottages. Every touch was lovely and so clean . An original Nespresso machine and cozy pillows and bedding. All staff were outstanding and made our stay extremely memorable.

Cons:

Everything was wonderful!

The hotel had asperations above their capabilities.
Pros:

A once beauiful house. The grounds and woods have ideal walking.

Cons:

When a guest reports that something is not working no one attends to it.
The wine waiter knew very little about wine; the table was not laid correctly;

Excellent stay in a brilliant old mansion with super grounds despite it being a bit 'faded glory'
Pros:

Breakfast was terrific, the Hall itself and the grounds and gardens are truly superb. Drinks by the roaring open fire were lovely on a chill spring evening, as was the helpful service from the staff who couldn't do enough for us. Our cottage was delightful, cute and cosy just a bit 'faded glory'.

Cons:

The cottage itself was absolutely stunning but let down by the fact that the furnishings and decoration are rather tired and old-fashioned (without being antique, just old 1980s/1990s hotel furniture), and the bathroom was cramped despite the overall room area being massive! A refresh would elevate the accommodation and the common areas (chairs looked worn and generally 'tired') to exceptional. A shame when the bones of the building are superb. It didn't spoil our stay - we were looking forward to it as we had visited around 8 years ago (but sadly the internal decoration does not seem to have been upgraded in that time)
The same holds for the spa - a nice little pool, sauna and steam room, and whirlpool but the whole facility needs a refurbish to bring it up to modern standards

fantastic setting with lovely grounds - good views of the countryside and helpful staff
Pros:

The staff were very helpful but it was difficult to reach them by phone

Cons:

We booked a cab to Conwy and the staff should have asked if we wanted one on the way back. We found that really difficult and when we finally arrived couldn't get into the hotel and had to ring them

Pros:

Everything

Cons:

Dinner menu choice was poor and very expensive for what you got, still hungry afterwards

Pros:

Everything, charming, traditional, please don’t modernise it!!!

Cons:

The jacuzzi didn’t work which is apparently an ongoing issue. If you fixed it, it would be perfect

Very dissapointing
Pros:

Scenary

Cons:

No disabled paring facilities. No lift in hotel or outside from car park, also no hand rail on several steps in garden. Cottages too far from hotel and low light level on path to front of hotel.
