Ordentliches Frühstück, aber Kaffeespezialitäten waren nicht im Preis mit inbegriffen.
Centrally located and most places within easy reach. All the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Gardens to relax in a plus.
Some areas needed a little TLC. Curtains in our room needed reattaching in the middle. Patio set and chairs needed attention/replacing as did the patio doors. Comprehensive Instructions on how to use lights would have been helpful. No lift if you had a room on second or third floor; need to check room allocation if you have mobility issues!
We love the location of the hotel, the grounds and the decor downstairs in the lobby and restaurant. Also the ability to park at the back is very useful but not the long haul with suitcases.
Our room was very nice apart from the HUGE leather couch / chaise longue thing that took up most of the floor space. What is that all about please? Far too big for the space and very impractical to sit on and if you should put an item of clothing on it, it just slips off onto the floor. Get rid of it.
Also, the restaurant not being open on Sunday and Monday nights ( when we stayed) was a major disappointment as we were so looking forward to some some lovely meals following our previous stay. I am Gluten Intolerant and my choices are limited. When we ate at the sister hotel over the road the only thing I could choose on the menu was a curry. 😞

Our room wasn’t very big and because of the heat we had a huge air conditioning unit inside which meant we didn’t have much space to move around. Obviously the intense heat is causing a problem which isn’t the hotels fault

Beautiful cottage, very clean and quiet. The cocktails in the bar were divine!
The bar staff in the cocktail area kept disappearing when we wanted a drink, so we missed last orders.

I wish I knew to pre-book the spa -

The pumps on the soap/body cleansers in the shower did not work. We had to remove the pumps to get access to the soap.

Only complaint were the over complicated light switches - but we are told these are to be replaced.
