The day's on the maze.
Pros:

What we were looking for in location. Parking was adequate, but I'm sure its gets busy on a football day as its close to the stadium. Great food at the hotel bar and a great breakfast.

Cons:

A maze to get around with all of the halls and stairs. Just be aware that there are quite a few staircases and dips/jumps to navigate. They do have lifts, but you will still encounter stairs (3-5) in the maze.

Overshadowed by our abrupt wake up call.
Pros:

Nice, cosy, quiet hotel. In very nice part of Dublin. Close to DART. Very good breakfast. Free parking.

Cons:

Paying €360 for 1 night B&B and being woken up abruptly whilst fast asleep by a member of housekeeping coming into our room at 8am. I know it's not the end of the world, but we'd been out to see a show the night before and fancied a nice lie in, so most unsatisfactory. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and that's the first time that this has happened.

Titre : 470 € la nuit pour ne pas pouvoir dormir — notre pire expérience hôtelière

Une note de 1/10, malheureusement parfaitement justifiée.

Nous avions réservé cet hôtel 4 étoiles en pensant y trouver une chambre confortable et calme. À 470 € la nuit, sans petit-déjeuner, cela paraissait être le minimum. La réalité a été tout autre.

Notre chambre, située au premier étage, donnait directement sur un espace extérieur appartenant à l’hôtel, aménagé avec tables, chaises et auvent. Un événement y était organisé et, à 1 heure du matin, les participants chantaient encore à tue-tête juste sous notre fenêtre. Avec une insonorisation manifestement insuffisante, il était tout simplement impossible de dormir.

Nous avons dû descendre à la réception pour demander que cesse ce cirque. Le bruit s’est ensuite un peu atténué, mais l’intervention a été tardive et peu efficace. Comment un établissement de ce standing peut-il laisser une telle situation se prolonger au beau milieu de la nuit, sans même avoir prévenu les clients concernés lors de la réservation ?

Nous nous demandons également pourquoi une chambre aussi mal placée nous a été attribuée. Était-ce lié au fait que nous avions réservé par Booking.com ? Nous n’avons évidemment aucun moyen de l’affirmer, mais la question se pose.

Au moment du check-out, nous avons signalé l’ensemble de ces problèmes. La réceptionniste s’est excusée et nous a assuré que son responsable nous contacterait. Deux jours plus tard, aucun appel ni véritable réponse : seulement un message automatique nous demandant si nous avions apprécié notre séjour ! Après notre réclamation, ce message standard donne franchement l’impression que l’hôtel se moque de ses clients.

À ce niveau de prix, un hôtel doit au minimum garantir le repos de ses occupants et assumer sérieusement les incidents qu’il provoque. Ce fut notre pire réservation d’hôtel effectuée par l’intermédiaire de Booking.com. Une expérience scandaleuse et un rapport qualité-prix absolument inacceptable.
