First and foremost, we found all the staff extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. Everyone greeted us warmly and was always happy to help whenever we needed anything. Housekeeping was provided daily, which meant we had fresh towels, made beds and a clean room throughout our stay. The bedroom area was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable.
We particularly enjoyed the Avery restaurant and Topeca Coffee Shop, both of which offered good-quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. The downtown location was also ideal for our requirements, making it a very convenient base for exploring Tulsa and getting around the city.
There were a few things that prevented us from scoring the room and hotel more highly. The bathroom was disproportionately small compared with the overall size of the bedroom and felt quite cramped. In addition, both the fridge and air conditioning unit were noticeably noisy and interrupted our sleep.
More significantly, our stay coincided with a three-day wedding celebration at the hotel. We appreciate that weddings are an important part of the hotel’s business, and we had no issue with the wedding taking place on the lower ground level. However, the celebrations did have a noticeable impact on other hotel guests.
On Saturday evening, the wedding party took over The Avery restaurant, meaning that we were unable to get a drink there. We were advised that the wait for non-wedding guests would be around 20 minutes. There were also occasions when wedding guests were moving around the hotel and inadvertently barging into other guests using the elevators.
On Sunday morning, the celebrations spilled into the garden area at around 8:30am, with a vehicle procession accompanied by loud drumming and music. This woke us up and was particularly disappointing after a disturbed night.
Had we known beforehand that the hotel regularly hosts large wedding celebrations which can significantly affect other hotel guests, we would probably have chosen a different hotel for our weekend stay.
Overall, we were not disappointed with our stay and there were many things we liked about the hotel. However, based on our experience, we would be reluctant to recommend the hotel for weekend stays when weddings are taking place, unless guests are made aware of this in advance.

The location was excellent and the hotel was incredibly clean, beautiful, and welcoming. We couldn't have picked a better stay for our first visit to Tulsa!

The staff was nice and the lobby was pretty.
I didn't like that I had booked this room 6 months ahead of the event and I get to check in at 415pm (which was at 4pm, was not offered anything earlier even when I asked, event started at 6pm) and I am told that there are no rooms available that I would have to wait an hour. No, that's not acceptable. I asked for what was available because we had to get ready and was offered a handicap room. I said I would take it as long as I am not taking it from someone who needed it and was told that they had a bunch of accessible rooms available. We get up to the room and it was hot. I set temp to 60 and high fan and we went to our event and didn't get back to the room until 2am in the morning and it was still hot, never cooled down. Also, the beds were uncomfortable and the sheets made noise every time you moved and then you could constantly hear people talking and the slamming of doors cause the walls are so thin. I expected more out of a Hyatt Regency especially for the price I paid. I would not stay here again.
