Cons:

The alarm was going off in the dealership next door and the staff refused to call the police as it wasnt on their property. When I said if it was them being robbed wouldnt they want another business to call, all their answer was why wasnt I phoning the police. I said I would but as they knew the area it would be better for them to however, I did call the police myself. The police were shocked when I said the Ibis wouldnt phone. I then went out for a smoke a bit later and it took a while for them to let me back in as you have to buzz the door, I did wonder if this was retaliation. The staff were asking me if I had phoned the police when they came to the door. I just felt disgusted that if someone came to them and had said something had happened to them just outside their property and to phone the police for them they most likely wouldnt.

Everyone has a responsibility for the safety of everyone no matter if you are working and isnt in your building.

Staff = exceptional. Room = clean & comfortable.
Pros:

The location was ideal for exploring Leicester, particularly for the price.
The staff members were a true highlight. Everyone we interacted with took real care, effort and time with us. They really went above and beyond to make us feel special.
We have yet to see everything we wanted to in Leicester and for the staff alone we would happily return this hotel.
The room was comfortable and clean. Everything we needed.
We had dinner - which was reasonable and a nice selection of dishes to choose from. Good kids options too.
Breakfast which was included for us with our booking was excellent. Food was cooked beautifully and even though we came down quite late for the sitting, we had no issues finding a lovely table and the food was fresh and restocked.
A nice coffee machine was a great perk too.
All in all it was a great stay, in the city centre for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Cons:

The car park is a little on the small side. That being said we arrived at 7pm on the day of booking and there were still some spaces remaining. £7 a night felt rather reasonable too.

My group stay
Pros:

The staff was very understanding and helped change our rooms to match what they said in the chats with giving us rooms next to eachother. I travelled with a group and the rooms were big enough for us all to have time together.

Cons:

The AC in room 118 was dripping liquid onto the floor and the room ran either very cold or very hot.
