Altes Hotel mit sehr viel Charme
Pros:

Das Hotel ist im alten Stil mit Deckenbalken, Hirschgeweihen etc. Es wirkt sehr gemütlich. Das Essen hat uns gut gefallen. Es passt auch toll zu diesem Ort mit den vielen Fachwerkhäusern. Der Empfang und der Service waren sehr nett.

Pros:

Lage des Hotels ist für Ausflüge und für Wanderungen gut geeignet. Zimmer haben den Charme den man im Harz erwartet und sind entsprechend funktionabel eingerichtet.
Das Restaurant hat eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen, dafür ist es sehr sehr lecker. Personal ist freundlich und kompetent. Die kleinen Putzteufel waren täglich unterwegs und fleissig (Danke)

Cons:

Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, wenn angrenzende Zimmer belegt und das Bad benutzt wird.

Frühstück war okay - hätte ein Müh mehr Abwechselung reingepasst bzw. nicht erst auf Anfrage gebracht werden.

Historic building. Room and downstairs were charming.

Cons:

Though there were many historic buildings, very few were open and there was nothing to do. Owner greeted us in a less than friendly manner, though she was nicer the next day. It was confusing getting to our room the first couple of times.

Für Unternehmungen und Ausflüge in den Harz eine gute Wahl. Empfehlenswert
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ausreichend, für jeden etwas dabei und es wurde immer nachgelegt. Kaffee am Tisch in Kaffeekannen, was sehr vorteilhaft war. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut und reichlich. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, sehr groß. Unser Zimmer war leider etwas dunkel, aber das ist mein persönlicher Geschmack. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Außer der Schließungszeit war alles in Ordnung

Das Hotel und das Essen waren sehr gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Die Öfnungszeit am Samstagabend bus 22.00 Uhr war nicht in Ordnung,da wir vorher noch telefonisch abgesprochen hatten,dass wir nach dem Abendessen noch gemütlich zusammensitzen wollten. Po unit 22.00 Uhr würde die Gaststätte geschlossen und selbst im Biergarten das Licht ausgeschaltet. Schade.

Es geht nichts über ein familiär geführtes Privathotel
Pros:

Es war alles, wirklich alles zauberschön! Vom Check in bis Check out haben wir uns sehr wohl, willkommen und gewertschätzt gefühlt. Ich hatte ein selbstgemachtes Buchungsproblem, das wurde freundlich wie flott erledigt. Das Personal ist höflich, freundlich und hat Spaß an der Arbeit. Abendessen und Frühstück schmackhaft, große Auswahl, top Preis-Leistung. Auto abstellen kein Problem und kostenfrei.

The Hotel is set in a marvelous town in a very green location.
Staff were friendly and easily available if needed. The rooms were immaculate and spacious.
