One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while.
Pros:

Wonderful historic grand hotel. Staff is helpful and engaging. Bed sheets and bathrooms are first rate. Breakfast is solid. No complaints at all.

Pros:

The hotel was lovely and in a nice location. Staff were nice. The room was clean that’s always a (10) in my book, as was the bathroom (very small though.) So lay off the scones if you want to use the sink. ;)

Cons:

Well the room we stayed in had a droning sound when you put your ear to the pillow and a high frequency buzz that also was present constantly! “Couldn’t find the frequency noise source anywhere!” (Was not the air con.) So little sleep for us that night. The reception staff would have changed the room but as it was in the night and a short stay we didn’t say until check out. BUT!! The worst thing by a county mile, is that the TV was not even HD! I still don’t understand why some 4 star hotels do this? We have 4-8K now, at least have an HD television. For the price of the room being upwards of £300 a night and not have, is kind of shocking!
