Fell way short of my expectations. The pictures are misleading.

Cons:

The bathroom desperately needed a renovation and we couldn't get the shower to be less than boiling hot. The room didn't feel clean. My daughter and I stayed here while visiting schools and it was not a good experience. They make the hotel look lovely in the pictures but the rooms were not nice and the beds were terribly uncomfortable.

DENIED CHECK IN (after paying in advance)
Cons:

DENIED CHECK IN ! I paid in advance and was denied checking in at 11pm because I didn't have the same credit card I paid with on me (even though I had the card on my phone and I had other cards). Booking.com later confirmed this was not what the hotel needed and I should never have denied by check-in. Hotel receptionist was rude and useless. Manager not contactable. Strongly recommend finding an alternative hotel in San Jose.

Safe, clean, relaxed.

Cons:

Bathroom sink is not in the bathroom. It's near the door to the room. The bathroom fan in room 222 was very loud. The bed vibrated due to some sort of machine in the adjacent room. Maybe a laundry dryer?

Cons:

Noise level inside the hotel. There is a bit of floor gap at the hotel room door so I can hear people talking outside. Some rooms face the main street and you can hear some cars pass by.

The location and room are good enough.

Cons:

Don't book this hotel for business, they are not able to generate an invoice for you with the room tax in details. They would refer you back to the Booking.com platform for the invoice. Booking.com can provide the transaction receipt, but the invoice with room rates and tax should be provided by hotels. Well, this one cannot. It doesn't matter if you write them, call them, explain them, their answer is that they can not.
