Enjoyable brief getaway to attend Tanglewood concert
Pros:

It was 5 minutes away from Tanglewood- our destination. We had requested a room facing the lake and had a lovely balcony with a view of the water. Truly lovely to sit outside. We rented a kayak on site - a great convenience. The staff was friendly. And the breakfast varied and enjoyable. Unlimited coffee. We were very pleased and hope to return.

Beautiful scenery . We were only there for a quick overnight, but others seemed to enjoy the use of kayaks on the small lake. Lovely views from the breakfast room. Staff were helpful and took our luggage up the stairs for us.

Cons:

Summer on a lake draws flying insects (non-biting) in the evening hours. Not the fault of the property, just a normal fact of nature.

Michelle and Owen are excellant! Sitting next to the Lake. Free coffee.

Cons:

Particularly regarding the predominant elderly population, and if possible, you might like to take a look-at safety in the tubs. No holds is just waiting for an accident.

A Berkshires' gem
Pros:

The hotel is ideally located, right on the lake. We found it well worth paying extra for a lakeside room: it was super extra special to have a chance to sit on the balcony and look at the lake. For a mobility impaired person in our group this was wonderful.

Renting the hotel's pontoon boat was a highlight of the stay. Highly recommended. One hour is plenty of time to circle the lake at least twice.

The hotel is ideally located for a trip to Tanglewood, but must be booked well in advanced, because it fills up quickly.

The breakfast is mediocre, but the breakfast room is wonderful, overlooking the lake. Coffee and tea are available 24/7.

There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity (except the Indian restaurant in the hotel). The nearest town of Lee is cute, but very small. Lennox, however, is very well worth a visit, don't skip it.

Cons:

It would be great to install a handicap door button. It is very difficult to bring in and out a person in a wheelchair.

Nice place
Pros:

Room with a Lakeside view, nice balcony. Dog friendly. Breakfast choices were decent.

Cons:

The walls are thin, could definitely hear your neighbors walking around or talking. The hairdryer set off the smoke alarm.
