Cozy, laid-back, and a treat for design lovers
Pros:

It was our second time staying at The Hoxton Rome. I would describe it as cozy, laid-back, and a treat for design lovers.

I love the neighborhood and its local vibe, far from the touristy chaos of the city center.

Cons:

One thing that bothered us, though, was what happened on our last night. We got back from a wedding around 3 a.m., and at that time, a note was slipped under our door asking us to call reception because the credit card on file wasn’t working. We obviously would have stopped by reception the following morning to check out and could have dealt with it then, so we found it quite unnecessary to contact us in the middle of the night over something that could easily have waited until morning.

Especially since this was our second stay at The Hoxton Rome and we had previously stayed the year before, with a positive history as guests, we felt that the way this was handled by the person at reception was simply unfortunate and could have been dealt with much more thoughtfully.

Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back S2

Our room was ready early. The staff were very accommodating and helpful with calling our taxi.
Cons:

The pillows were too flat. Honestly the only complaint but it would be an easy fix. The hosting exceeded our expectations and we will return. Thank you.

Séjour en famille agréable
Pros:

Bien que l'établissement se situe un peu loin à pied du centre historique de Rome, l'hôtel offre de bonnes prestations et est très agréable. Le personnel était accueillant et chaleureux. La chambre et les espaces communes étaient propres et bien entretenues.
Nous avons bcp appréciés notre séjour dans cet hôtel en famille (2 adultes et 1 bébé < 1 an).

Extremely unpleasant

The premises are nice other than then everything is bad.

Cons:

The staff deserves a zero. From Andrea Tassi to Giovanni to Armando, our experience was extremely disappointing.

We were a group of 60 people staying at the hotel for my brother’s wedding, yet we felt like they wanted to charge us for every little thing. They even charged us €35 for bringing empty champagne glasses to our room.

My room was also unacceptable: water was leaking everywhere from the shower, the shower was extremely loud, and the room was badly soundproofed.

When we wanted to make a simple toast in the lobby, we were told they would call the police if we went down. We were made to feel like our presence was a problem, and the way we were treated felt racist and deeply insulting.

For a wedding weekend that was supposed to be special, this was incredibly frustrating. We expected basic hospitality and respect, but unfortunately, that was not our experience.

I would not recommend this hotel.
