Breakfast was an ample size for us for both days. Staff were excellent all round and made us feel very welcomed. Location was great right in the heart of town and lots to see and do, Plenty of places to eat and a decent variety.
Hotel is beautiful , but attention needed in regards the room we had, dust and cobwebs on lights and ceiling, Payment required to use spa facilities so we did not use them.
Fantastic location and convenient parking at the rear, into the Hotel. Staff were lovely, professional and welcoming.
The room and our floor was somewhat tired looking and in need of new decoration - felt rather sparse and unloved - wallpaper marked and coming away in small areas in our room.
Great ocation in the centre of Chester
On one of the evenings, I ordered a sandwhich through room service. When it strived, the bread was a little stale, having lost its freshness and become dry.
No doubt that the hotel wishes to maintain its classical look, but refurbishment in parts of it is needed.
Some aspects of my room were disappointing and in need of freshening up. For example, the bath had lost its lustre - looking dull rather than bright. Some of the furniture in my room could do with freshening up too.
