The king bed was high and very comfortable the staff was awesome
Maintenance in hotel is poor bathroom door would not even come close to shut no mats for bathtub too slick for older people got stuck in elevator for 25 minutes elevator got shut down at least they had two need to have stair ways open not just for emergencies
The convenient location close to the airport was the primary draw, as we were coming back to Anchorage at the end of our vacation and had a very early flight out the next morning. The staff were pleasant and housekeeping quickly attended to a concern we had. Place was generally quiet, beds were comfortable enough for a night's sleep. There was fresh water available in the lobby to refill our bottles. We could not stay for breakfast but the dining room looked nice enough if nothing fancy. Parking free and sufficient, with luggage carts available in the lobby, so checkout and loading out was a breeze.
I had booked the room not having read too many reviews. but don't expect luxury or even the general spotlessness of a typical chain place. The neighborhood, close to the airport as noted, looks a bit rough with a fair number or characters hanging out on the streets, which might put some people off. There were a few such characters hanging around the parking lot and lobby, and we read that the establishment doubles as a long term hotel for some folks. There was little noise and no one bothered us other than one chatty older gentleman.
The interior lobby and corridors seemed neglected and a bit dirty, and the room showed its age. There was a pervasive smell of overpowering cleaning products, and the bathroom floor was covered in some kind of sticky film. I mentioned this to the front desk staff immediately, and as mentioned above housecleaning arrived fairly promptly to re-mop that floor. The room was also uncomfortably warm when we arrived, but there is an air conditioner by the window to cool things down. The television doesn't seem to receive HD channels, that wasn't an issue for us.
Convenient location and free breakfast were good.
Appeared clean and the location was close to the airport. The registration staff were very helpful.
Outdated furniture. Curtain linings were full of cracks that let in daylight. The art in the room was dark, faded.
The cleaning staff were friendly but it was clear they were anxiously waiting for guests to check out even though it was not yet near check out time.
Clean convenient
Lobby had janitorial equipment and supplies in reception are and cluttered with items not appropriate for welcome area
I request a suite, I like the top floor.
I do not have complaints
Close to airport with shuttle.
Linens, bathtub was damaged, bathroom door was damaged, breathfast, no signage for the property
The stuff at the reception desk was very helpful and nice.
This hotel needs major renovations. Also It smells like food everywhere.
Our room was huge and comfortable.
The room needs some updating. Get rid of the carpeting.
Room was fantastic, didnt hear anybody else and even was able to see the vehicle from the room clearly. Bad part is... it is on spenard... not the greatest of neighborhoods, but nobody messed with us or our stuff.
Just the neighborhood. Not one to walk around after dark.
It’s close to the airport with included airport transportation.
This is a grungy property in a sketchy area. The A/C was broken in our room. We had to insist they move us after 5 hours where it was consistently 84°. They wanted to attempt fixing it, but gave it little effort, commenting about the room “When it’s cold it’s cold. When it’s hot it’s hot. Shrug.”
5 minutes after the included breakfast opened, there was virtually nothing there. 1 juice. 3 biscuits, about a half cup of gravy. We left and ate elsewhere.
The property appears to have been built in, and not updated since the 1970s. Large bleach spills on hallway carpets, curtains look like rags.
As we were checking in, a housekeeper loudly announced to the front desk person “There’s poop
stains everywhere!”
The area is quite sketchy. Homeless abound. We were happy it was light outside, and we walked fast.
I didn’t take photos because EW.
Honestly, the thing I liked most was leaving.
It’s a place to crash if you’re on your way to camp
Sketchy cars and folks in the parking lot
