Établissement bien équipé
Bon petit dej
Propreté de la chambre à revoir ( odeur d’égouts et douche bouchée )
Buffet midi et soir trop cantine
Meraviglioso, l’ambiente ideale per una famiglia!
Avrei voluto trovare più opzioni plant based. Almeno 1 yogurt, 1 croissant, 1 dolce ogni tanto, 1 hamburger…. Purtroppo c’è pochissima attenzione per il cibo sano!
Family of 4 visiting hotel in May.
Family rooms are downstairs on ground floor. These rooms have a small outside area out the patio doors. This area isn't gated off, fine if kids are older but for young kids they could easily get access to the pools. No shelter from sun (or for us in May it was rain) in outside area as there is no balcony above.
Family rooms have adjoining doors which can link two rooms together for bigger parties. This made our room very noisy, we could hear every word the family next door said.
Rooms are very basic and quite dated.
The pools were good for older kids, the slides are great. Pools are deep though. We saw the lifeguard jump in at least once every day! Baby pool is very small, it's just a wee paddling pool.
Breakfast and lunch was always nice. Dinner was very repeptitive, no theme nights. We ate out four nights of the week as we were eating the same lunch and dinner most days. Staff in restaurant were always nice.
All inclusive snacks during the day were fine, crisps, fruit, sweeties and usually burgers or chips.
Mini disco was good, our three year old loved it.
The indoor bar area where the entertainment is was really busy at night. We had dinner quite early so always got a table, but there were families standing by 9/10pm. Some nights only one barman so bar queues were very long. The all inclusive drinks system is ridiculous here, you are issued tokens when you arrive. Using these to pay for a drink, you then need to queue again to redeem your token back when you return your glass!
Small playpark which the wee one loved. Indoor kids playroom is very small with nothing in it.
Location is good, the beach and entrance to the marina is about ten / fifteen minute walk away. The marina is gorgeous with lots of restaurants to choose from.
Small supermarket out the back which was handy.
If you want a holiday for children, with pools, lovely food, clean hotel, close to a beach and beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you!
Hotel - set within beautiful landscaping, endless little birds and a little town close to it. Hotel was lovely and clean. It has a great little shop on site selling gifts, pool toys and other bits and bobs.
Food - lovely food on the whole, we enjoyed the themed nights of Mexican and Chinese, as well as the usual general nights. Food was warm enough - some have moaned the food is cold. We didn’t experience any cold food - it’s not boiling hot, but what do you expect from a buffet!
Pools - there are pools everywhere! All lovely and clean. Yes they are cool as some have complained about - but who wants a hot bubble bath in the boiling sun?! After 10 seconds, you quickly adapt and it’s lovely to be in the pools when the sun is out.
Entertainment - great entertainment each night. The usual random assortment from Greatest Showman songs, to Chinese Visual illusions to magicians. We enjoyed them all.
Beach - two beaches either 5 or 10 minutes walk away. We are not beach people so didn’t go much - but nice to be so close.
Local area - within 10 minutes you are in a harbour/marina area with endless shops and restaurants. It really comes alive a night!
Drinks - drinks are done using a coin system. You are given a coin, you trade the coin for a drink in a reusable plastic cup. Once finished, you trade your cup for another drink in a fresh cup or get your coin back to use again next time.
Room - a lovely room overseeing the splash pool in our case. Perfect size. Very clean. Cleaners came in daily to make beds and refresh the room.
In all, it was a lovely hotel and a lovely relaxing holiday. Before we left, we booked to go back again! You won’t regret it.
We have just returned from a family holiday with our four year old grandson. We arrived at 22.30pm and check in took over one hour with only one member of staff checking in over 20 people, which for a very tired four year old was not good. The positive of the late check in was that there was food available for us which was unexpected.
We asked for two rooms together
which they did accommodate us with an adjoining door to the two rooms. The rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed every other day.
We were all inclusive and the food was of good quality with a wide selection each day.
Alcholic drinks were available throughout the day but the bar area did not provide glass so all drinks were in recyclable cups which wasn't ideal for an evening when you wanted a glass of wine.
The facilities were very good and had a good selection of pools and splash area.
Overall we had a lovely holiday, however certain areas could be improved to make it better.
Our 2nd stay at Sol Falcó and it didn’t disappoint. The location of the hotel with its proximity to 2 beach’s is amazing, The food is really good with lots of choice and always fresh with great kids selection. All the staff are warm and friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay as nice as possible. We made great friends with most of the entertainment team and they were amazing with our 9 year old boy going out of their way to put extra games on they knew he enjoyed etc. Special mention to Juan Carlos, Antonio, Aitor and Ivan who we knew from the previous year and Giulio and Loan who are a superb addition to the team, both really fun and positive with the children. We will definitely return next year!!
Our return trip after a first visit last year. The reason for our return was the high quality entertainment and we were not disapppinted. The range of activities is great, we loved aqua gym, pool party, magic carpet, darts, water basket, water polo. The kids disco was great and not too repetitive with same songs evey night like other places we have been. The Greatest Showman was brilliant and my son loved the kids being on stage dancing at the end....a real party atnosphere.
The thing that really stands out though is the manner of the entertainment staff; they interact with guests with warmth, sincerity and kindness and this is led by Juan Carlos who models these values everyday. Antonio, Luon and Giulio were exceptional at the afternoon dance activites and went above and beyond to include my son, who absolutely loved the sessions. We had a LOT of fun playing some of the water sports and darts with Ivan and we LOVED Aitor's dance moves at the pool dance and aqua gym.
The food standard was lower than last year but there was still enough options fot us, albeit not too hot, as others have said.
The hotel is very clean and tidy and well maintained. We didnt mind the token system for drinks.
The life guards are brilliant and have a good balance for safety vigilance and also fun and smiles with guests. We all loved the pools and especially the slides.
Location is perfect with a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach and we enjoyed kayaking along the coves.
We were very very sad to leave and will definately be back! Thank you to the entertainment team for creating such happy memories!
Large complex, everywhere really well maintained. Rooms were OK - although air conditioning not working for first three days we were here. Pools are good, larger pool great for kids. Staff are lovely.
Unfortunately the poor reviews for the food & bar were correct. Food was poor choices, repetitive & lukewarm
Only having one bar for such a large complex was ridiculous - long lines at busy time. Long walk from accommodation to get a drink during the day. We had a room next to one of the smaller pools - would have been really good to have had a small bar nearby. It does seem that only having one bar is a way to stop.guests going for drinks. Wouldn’t recommend hotel unfortunately.
Having read reviews and prior research.. all my concerns were put to bed within the first hour of arriving. The hotel is beautiful, clean and has a lovely chill family vibe. My 3 year old has loved the pools, the discos and great evening entertainment. So far the food has been spot on, better than we could have hoped! Gorgeous nearby beach, we hired a car as we love to explore but are finding everything we need right here!
First 3 days the food was cold, complained 4 times before any improvement, No reserving sun bed was a joke,by 7am every bed was occupied with towels, the bar queue was erroneous with only one bar, drinks token that you get a drink then they give you your token back after returning your recycled cardboard cup. On the positive side the staff were all friendly and polite, the hotel was clean.
This is not a 4 star hotel and we will not be returning.
Recently back from a week stay at Sol Falco with our nearly 5 year old girl.
Hotel facilities and cleanliness could not fault and made for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
First few days the pools were freezing but became bearable as the week heated up weather wise. Great slides for the kids - a choice of x3 which dispatch you into a very deep pool so as many reviews have poi ted out, ensure your little ones have a floaty vest!
Kids mini disco every night followed by different entertainment each night, which was pretty good.
Food in general was at best average, so dont expect too much in this department, the offering could certainly be kept warmer!
No issues with service, apart from large que building up at the only bar that was open.
As for the resort, found it lovely with a smaller but very pleasant beach located only a few minutes walk to the rear of the hotel. Harbour is nice and only a ten minute walk max with a decent selection of bars ect. Larger beach next to harbour with crystal clear water.
In all honesty i would recommend this resort and hotel for any families, but deginately room for improvement in the food.
Week away with me and my 4 year old daughter. Be warned menorca airport is busy for queues with the new system of finger prints and if you have kids you have to queue to go through passport control anyways. The hotel is decent enough especially for young families. Felt the cocktails were watered down with ice. Food became very samey and felt the Choices weren’t great. Room was always kept spotless and we were close to all the main stuff right by the kids pools as someone has mentioned the pools are very deep at 1.9m and 2.3m take a float or armbands for little ones. Didn’t really do many excursions but talking to other guests the bars around the marina were pricey at €12 euros a cocktail !!!. Games rooms wasn’t that great either my little one did love the park tho. Also have a kids mini disco every night which was good.
The location is OK, not bad. 1 week is suffice, enough time to see everything around.
Plenty of shops around the hotel within easy enough walk.
We paid more for a better room due to it being our first holiday with our 1 year old.
The "XTRA Room Solarium", let me tell you now save your money and don't be tempted by this room 🤣.
The standard room isn't far off the same size, the only difference being you get a better space on the balcony.
I would give the cleaners the credit for doing a good job cleaning our room, and I'd say you notice the entertainment room ( the main part of the building) being cleaned well in the morning.
Other than that i'd say the rest of the cleanliness is again, OK.
NOW THE BEST BITS.
The hotel advertised 2 bars at this hotel. There is 1 drinks bar and 1 snack bar. So just understand that there is 1 bar to serve the whole hotel.
And because we had the pleasure of living through covid, everyone queues like they did during covid times.
The queue today backed up right up to the reception (another part of the building 🤣)
Let's talk more about the bar...
You get 1 token pp when you arrive, these tokens are used to get your beer or drinks at the bar. Once used, your cup then becomes the token. You cannot have another drink (unless you buy one) until you return the cup to the bar. However, you have to covid queue again sometimes depends who's on the bar, to swap your cup back into a token, or you just take your cups to your rooms.
Absolutely brilliant idea to keep the pool side clean, and no cups lying around everywhere.
But that means there are no cleaning done around the pool. So yes there isn't cups around but, there are food, wrappers and other rubbish. I think that the tokens is a way for the hotel to cut costs on cleaners throughout the day around the pool, and recycling ♻️
There's a few pools on site, all of which are FREEEZING! And VERY DEEP. Pack a rubber dingy for the kids and you, and arm bands. You won't touch the floor never alone the kids.
The slides and splash bit is very very basic. Nothing to exciting.
If you're in the middle of packing your suitcases, make sure you pack a microwave with you. All the food is cold 🥶 .
I'M BUZZING FOR WARM FOOD! 🤣
A few people including me have had a day in bed because of the food. (Seems to be a 24hrs thing and you'll be ok)
Noise is calm in some areas, and the main pool is obviously busy. The good thing is there are many swimming pools dotted around the hotel and hey tend to be nice and calm.
Put it this way. I won't be coming back here. 💯
BEST HOLIDAY EVER
All of the staff are incredible, the entertainment was incredible, the food was amazing, the rooms were amazing and air conditioned and amazing. Everything was incredible. Warning though, the main pools are very very deep so be careful if you have little ones. The smaller pools around the resort are perfect depth though!
We rented a car from sol to be delivered to our hotel the minura in Cala Galdena
Menorca, They were on time the car was clean and the driver who delivered it was
very nice, Paperwork took a few seconds and he showed us to the car and that was
it , we had a wonderful time driving all over Menorca. We fueled up full tank and left it
on the car park across from the hotel to be collected. So thanks to Sol Car hire we wouldnt hesitate to use you again next time we are in that area. Mary & Simon from England.
This was our second trip to Sol Falco . We loved it so much in 2023 we came back this year . It was just as good . Improvements have been made to the decor etc . One of the main reasons we came back to this hotel was due to the lovely staff , from reception to cleaners and animation team. We were very pleased upon arrival when we realised it was the same staff throughout . Anna on reception was immaculate , friendly and helpful . I would actually like to personally contact her if management see this . You can tell her my names Jack from uk and I came with my family at the start of October . My email is jackspark90@outlook.com if she wants to email . Just to thank her .
The food and atmosphere was slightly different this time of year as we came in June last time . It was just as good and we were happy . Our little boy loved the slides , the pool, the table tennis etc .
Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels everyday . This hotel is a genuine clean and lovely place to create memories with your family
