Stafford Hotel - London
Pros:

My friend Maria and I enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at the Stafford Hotel, London, from June 27 to July 1, 2026. The location of the Stafford on St. James Place is perfect, tucked away on a quiet street in Piccadilly, adjacent to Green Park. It is conveniently located near all the attractions of central London.

The hotel is beautifully maintained. We stayed in a Carriage House suite above a lovely courtyard with outdoor table service. Outstanding breakfasts were accompanied by excellent service.

Most importantly, the Concierge staff led by Robert was extraordinarily helpful with dinner reservations, Wimbledon tickets and many knowledgeable and helpful suggestions. Simply first class service, gracious service.

We have nothing but high praise for the Stafford and its team and we look forward to a return visit soon.

British understated elegance
Pros:

The Stafford is a beautiful, elegant and understated hotel located within walking distance of everything- Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden, West End, Westminster Abbey and multiple museums. We did not even use the Tube to get anywhere. Hidden on a side street, it is exceptionally quiet despite being in the middle of everything. The staff is polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms and common areas are impeccable.

Lovely hotel, very classic formal in feel
Pros:

Everything was clean, the staff was super helpful, and we felt well taken care of. The hotel is well located, though keep in mind it's in an alley with a dead end. It was tricky for us to get out of there with the rental car.

Cons:

I personally had no problem with my room, but my parents had minor inconveniences. It wasn't the most cozy stay, but really don't have major complaints.

Constantly living up to expectations. Superb location, staff and stay.
Pros:

This has become a regular stay for my family and I when we are in London. Positioned right next to Mayfair and all the high end parts of London, we love the location, rooms and staff. In a previous review I labelled this hotel ad having old English charm which I maintain. It’s exceptional with class all round.

Cons:

There’s nothing to not like. It’s a 10/10 for us.

The best five star hotel in London
Pros:

I visited the Stafford hotel in London for about a week with my 14-year-old son in June 2026. By far and away, this is the best five star hotel in which I’ve stayed. The staff is intelligent, elegant and dedicated to making sure their guests are happy. The accommodations are outstanding. The bed linens were like silk and the towels were always so fluffy and soft. The food is divine. Room service all the restaurants just heavenly. The location cannot be beat. And getting out and about from the hotel is super easy, especially with the assistance of their staff —who are always at the ready. I also recommend asking staff for assistance in activities to do around and beyond London and restaurants to try. They are extremely knowledgeable. Akshar and Katherine and Nick helped us navigate around with ticketing and timing throughout our stay. If you care about cleanliness, luxury comfort, amazing food, and smart customer service — this is the place to stay.
