Good stay for a couple of days
Pros:

Closeness to the station and city centre and price.

Cons:

Area, unsocial behaviour opposite hotel. No aircon, weather not your fault obviously but it was sooooo hot! Fan in room helped. Breakfast was good but hash browns were quite hard.

Pros:

The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. I appreciated the breakfast options in particular, both the English and Continental ones.

Cons:

The staff wasn't always very friendly. The location is convenient for the city centre and if you need to take the trams, but the surrounding neighbourhood is shady.
The room had an air conditioning machine, but a sign on the wall warned that it should not be used to cool down the room, but rather to heat it. This was especially relevant due to the heatwave that was happening during my stay, and disappointing considering that I stayed in an Ibis in Manchester some days after, where my room was identical to that in Sheffield, but the air conditioning there worked as such.

Everything else. The location, good value and multiple plug sockets . Been here loads of times.

Cons:

It was very hot(during heatwave). The worst part was coming to the hotel between 1-5am because there is an intimidating security staff asking what name and hotel number. I thought, one slip up with this guy and I'm locked out. Couldn't even bring my friends to use the loo.

It was a classic Ibis stay: welcoming reception, nice sleep and spacious room.

Cons:

The only thing I could mention is the location of the hotel but this is more to do with what surrounds it.
