I checked in for 1 night (to watch world cup final) and was given room 410 (which I went at 3am in the morning only to find bathroom water leaking into the room.
Had to go down to reception, then they gave me room 401 (in which I had to call someone to come & start the TV set)
I left hotel 7:45am.
Anybody can enter into the hotel. Security is certainly an issue as its supposedly a 5star hotel
Security very poor
The location
Very dark and shabby ambience. Old infra, needs renovation. Room mirrors, tables, Almira were very old and had marks which cant be cleaned.
STAFF COURTEOUS. FOOD GOOD. CHINESE RESTAURANT EXCELLENT.
Could take care to be Senior Citizen Friendly. Does not cost much.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of service provided during my stay. The reception staff appeared poorly trained, and there were multiple service failures caused by a lack of communication, attention to detail, and basic guest-handling skills.
Upon check-in, I was assigned a room that smelled strongly of smoke, had no view, and did not have a bathtub, despite my specific request for a clean, well-ventilated room with a good view. When I requested a room change, I was moved to another room that was even worse, with the same poor view and a non-functional room telephone.
When I called the reception to report these issues, the staff listened briefly and disconnected the call without providing any resolution or follow-up. This raises serious concerns about whether housekeeping and room inspections are conducted before rooms are allocated to guests, as both rooms had obvious issues that should have been identified beforehand.
The service failures continued throughout my stay. One evening, I clearly instructed IRD to provide a vegetarian grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast the following morning. However, the wrong sandwich was delivered. To make matters worse, when I requested the front desk to have it heated, I was informed that they could not heat a sandwich.
Later, when I ordered tea, I specifically requested that the charge be posted to my room. Despite having all my room details on record, I was asked to make payment at the time of delivery, as though I had ordered through a food delivery platform. As a long-stay guest, I expected a much more seamless and guest-focused experience.
The most frustrating incident occurred at night when I called reception to request a hard pillow. The receptionist repeatedly disconnected the call, forcing me to call multiple times to explain a very simple request. Eventually, housekeeping arrived with a pillow identical to the soft one already in the room. When I pointed out that it was not a hard pillow, I was told, “This is what we have.”
Throughout my stay, it felt as though no one genuinely cared about the guest experience. Requests were ignored, communication was poor, and service standards were consistently below expectations.
Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience. The service was unprofessional, the hotel operations appeared disorganized, and even the unpleasant odor at the reception entrance created a poor first impression. I expected significantly better standards and hospitality.
The washroom was stinking.
The room and it's surroundings
No breakfau
Clean
According to value of room Rent Room was 0
I have not accept
Being a sr advocate I checked in at 9/9.30pm and I usually get free from High Court by 4pm but my bags are put on bell desk even before 2 pm. Ao I hardly uses room. I expect being a regular guest to have the room at least for 17/18 hrs.
The service staff, attentive, checking up on you constantly and house keeping staff. Location and a decent breakfast spread.
My room 454 did not have a jet spray. Very disappointing given it’s a standard in all Indian hotel rooms
