I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding the service standards at your branded property, The Park Kolkata.

It is extremely disappointing that despite multiple attempts, no one is willing to attend calls on the hotel board line numbers. Furthermore, the Duty Manager’s contact number repeatedly goes unanswered, with no courtesy callback or follow-up from the team.

While the board line operators were polite in their approach, I requested them to share the official contact number of the General Manager, Mr. Pramode Bhandari. However, the operator firmly stated that they were not authorised to share the number. With due respect, I had clearly requested the official contact details and not any personal number.

The operator then mentioned that the call would be transferred to the Duty Manager’s handheld number. I further explained that, as has been the recurring experience, the Duty Manager neither answers the calls nor returns them.

I must ask — are these the standards expected from a 5-star hospitality brand? I have never encountered such challenges with your other properties, but unfortunately, with Kolkata, this has become a repeated experience.

I would request you to kindly review the SOPs being followed at the property, as the situation reflects either a serious lack of courtesy or inadequate training and guest handling experience.

For your reference and better understanding, I am attaching the relevant call records.

I stayed at The Park Kolkata expecting a comfortable hotel experience, but the biggest issue was the extremely loud music from the hotel's pubs and nightlife venues. The music continued until around 4:00 AM, making it very difficult to sleep.
I specifically expect a hotel room to provide basic rest and quiet at night. Unfortunately, the bass and music could be clearly heard inside the room for several hours. Guests traveling for business, with families, senior citizens, or anyone sensitive to noise should be aware of this before booking.
The hotel should either improve soundproofing, clearly disclose the late-night noise situation during booking, or allocate quieter rooms to guests who request them.
The location is excellent, but the noise issue significantly affected my stay and is something future guests should know before making a reservation.

Close proximity to main attractions

This is my first stay at The Park and whilst it’s not a 5* I was given a wonderful, warm welcome. Chin and her ‘guest service’ squad couldn’t do enough to make me feel important and welcome, including moving my room to give me a better view. Chin’s attitude, charming personality and apparent determination to make the customers experience the best possible is outstanding
This attitude of ‘nothing is too much’ is rare and when the great service is delivered with genuineness and warmth it gives me the feeling that I’ve made a great decision to stay here for a month.
Special mentions too for Augustine and Vijay in the concierge team who went out of their way to help me with a couple of teething problems and to Rahul the manager in the dining room whose cheerfulness and professionalism help make each morning a terrific start to the day.

Excellent central location and convenient for important appointments and travel around Kolkata. Initially appeared premium and welcoming, but the late-night nightclub environment completely ruined the comfort and peace expected from a reputed hotel. We appreciated the upgrade to Room 315, which felt spacious and suite-like. The extra-bed arrangement for the third guest was also handled smoothly. Completely unacceptable From around 11:30 PM until nearly 5 AM, extremely loud music, heavy bass, and continuous vibrations/tremors could be physically felt inside the room, making sleep impossible for all three of us. Good room size, comfortable setup, and breakfast inclusion were appreciated, but basic guest comfort and restful sleep were seriously compromised.
