Quite frustrating. Looks like the management has given up on maintaining the property.
Pros:

The food was good. Centrally located in Kolkata, it was easy to get to different places. Room service teams were very good.

Cons:

The noise from the Disco on the ground floor was too lound, noisy and was on till 4am. Could not sleep at all. The front desk team was pathetic and could not handle guests. The paint in the rooms and corridors were peeling and there were molds on the bathroom walls and there were cobwebs in the room.

Decent hotel but room for improvement
Pros:

Really good and well equipped gym. Nice pool area. All staff very friendly. Decent breakfast with large selection.

Cons:

Fast wifi was charged extra. I believe access to fast wifi is a hygene factor at a hotel of this standard. A big minus! Shower water was hard to get hot.

HORRIBLE
Pros:

there is not a single thing that i can say i liked. the management seems least interested ti run this hotel, they are busy in making money from bar and disco.

Cons:

its just horrible experience, walls are all dirty, we get better room with pay of 3K in Kolkata but i paid 17.5K per night and got very dull, dirty and horrible hotel. Staff were also just unpleasant except one guy who tried addressing this by changing rooms but i wasn't happy of taking something extra, wanted value for the money that i spent which was huge for Kolkata. please see the photograph and decide that with such high pay do you really want to stay?

Location was great, and room was quiet.

Cons:

Dinner buffet spread was small, with less options. During morning breakfast, we could not find seating space, and few food items were empty by 9.30 AM.

Stay anywhere else! Avoid.
Pros:

The only reason to stay at The Park is the location. And that is the only selling point.

Cons:

For the amount of money you pay to stay at The Park, I am very interested to know what is the justification for such room prices - other than the location. I got myself a double room with a queen bed (they don't have king size beds - bad start), but the room did not have a wardrobe (in spite of having enough wall space), but had open hangers in the bathroom. No slippers. Just one single dental kit. Not even a separate space to keep the luggage. The AC refused to change temperature. After my luggage was scanned, I was told it would be brought to my room, and I waited for 25 minutes and called the front desk, it was sent up only after that. The room had no view. The curtains stank and had definitely not been cleaned in years. Same goes for the carpet.

But, there is no point saying any of this because The Park doesn't care. People will continue staying there, and they will continue making money. For some people, it is even a flex. I, on the other hand, am ashamed to mention that I stayed here.

Great location but the rooms need an update
Pros:

Brilliant location with plenty of eating options on your doorstep

Cons:

Our room stank of smoke; we were only there for one night but if we’d been staying longer, we’d have definitely asked to be moved to another room.
Plus the shower was very small and flooded the bathroom whenever you used it.
Check in took a long time. Despite being overstuffed, it was really inefficient. We’d stayed at the Park Hotel in Delhi and had a very different experience! I’d stay there again but not the Kolkata branch!
