Beds were comfortable and we had a room on the quiet side away from freeway. It is very close to the airport and the shuttle is fast. Breakfast was good with lots of options. For one night to catch an early flight works.
One elevator is out of operation so it was slow getting to our room on 8th floor. Hotel bathrooms should be updated.
Breakfast was a nice surprise.

Close to the airport - great for a quick layover stay. Had a free airport shuttle. Great breakfast with large selection.
We arrived at 2am and extremely tired after a difficult flight. Upon check-in, we were told at the front desk that we had to wait in the lobby for 10 minutes as their system reboots everyday at 2am. After 20 minutes and some pleading with the front desk staff, we finally got the key to our room. Seems like you shouldn’t have to wait that long, especially at that hour of the night. It is worth it to note that a few other parties were in the same situation.
Also, our room was right across from the very loud freeway. And our bed was uncomfortable.
Close proximity to eating places
During the hurricane the power was shut down to the elevators there was no information to assist people with disabilities especially all the people on the higher floors especially for safety reasons
It was close to the airport and had a shuttle. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
Only one elevator was working. The property was not clean in the hallways, the carpet was old and worn. No sign that it’s been updated since the the 1980’s. The AC was very noisy.

This place seems straight out of the 1970s and desperately needs a refresh. The bed was comfortable, and everything was clean and worked ok, but there is a LOT of room for improvement. Maybe my remembrance of former years' stays at Best Western chain hotels is outmoded, but while ok, this was definitely not on a par with what I remember.
The A/C unit is very loud, enough to keep me awake. The Plaza Cafe restaurant no longer exists as such. There is a free breakfast, which is good, but there are only fast food restaurants near the hotel, so it would be really good if the restaurant that used to operate here was still available. The rooms are very near the busy roadways and are quite noisy. Everything seems pretty worn out and in need of upgrading, except the mattress, which was very comfortable. Basic maintenance (i.e. well draining sink, shower fixture that doesn't take advantage of full water pressure due to the pull-up mechanism to operate It being so worn that water continues to come out into the bathtub rather that delivering all water to the showerhead) seems not to be a priority.
