Pros:

All facilities are excellent.

Cons:

Only one lift is working. I was told that the other lift has been out of order for over a year.
It was difficult to get into the bathtub, I asked for a room with access.
There are water stains on the ceiling, and cobwebs in the bathroom.

Pros:

Hotel is lovely, SPA was very good.

Cons:

Both of the reception staff we spoke to both booking in and booking out were robotic. No personal skills. Firstly the gentleman on booking in greeted my husband but totally ignored me even though the booking was in my name. We later had to ask him directions to the SPA his reply bordered on being rude but definitely bored out of his mind
Girl who was on reception when we booked out was similarly robotic. There was a problem on our bill, we were charged fir a meal that was included in our deal, but had been incorrectly noted on our bill as lunch. Even though we explained the problem and it was not lunch, she kept on insisting we had lunch even though on each occasion we explained we booked in after 3 pm therefore we could not have had lunch. Either she has never been trained to deal with an error or she just didn't get it.

Lovely relaxing break in a great hotel
Pros:

Breakfast was very good excellent choice of food & staff was very nice & looked smart.
The location couldn't have been better right near the town centre with lots of bars & reastaurants.

Cons:

The spa was disappointing it wasn't very clean around the pool area where the relaxing beds were
The hotub was really cold & wasn't open long as they was testing the water so then wen we tried to access again it had the top on it so we couldn't use it.
The full body massage wasn't very good I have had better.
The pool was nice & warm though bonus.

Don't stay here if you want to sleep- guests are noisy all night. Disappointing.
Pros:

The outside of the hotel is impressive as is the entrance.

Cons:

Don't come here if you want to sleep--- the noise of the other guests running and screaming keeps you up all night.
I arrived late due to work travel and was woken up at 11.30pm, 12.15am and then again between 1-2am. I had to speak to the guests in the corridor to ask them to keep the noise down. I was going to contact reception but another guest said they had already called down.
They clearly had been partying but it was a Monday night. Add to that the beds are stiff and bedding uncomfortable.
On check out I shared how disappointed I was and the guest checking out next to me said it ruined his family holiday as they had no sleep from the noise- even though complaints were made.
I had a work meeting I had travelled (8 hour round trip) for and needed a decent sleep. This stay was awful.
I was offered no compensation/voucher or refund for the stay on checkout.

Nice breakfast awful bed
Pros:

The location, the breakfast was really good.

Cons:

The parking was a nightmare. And extra cost for it too is not right. The bed is rock hard and we had an awful sleep!

Lovely hotel with nice central location
Pros:

Lovely central location for Harrogate and nice large car park.
Leisure facilities very nice, pool, sauna and steam room.
Very spacious bedroom with bath.
Gorgeous old fashioned hotel and decor, breakfast room in particular very beautiful, light and airy.
Breakfast choice was plentiful, large room and never felt crowded

Cons:

Little bit of a wait at check in, although all desks were manned.
No air conditioning in room, had to open window which meant we were woke up in night by noisy guests, possibly leaving a party that was being held downstairs.
Quite a few of the lockers in the changing rooms at the leisure club weren't working properly.

Pros:

The building that houses this hotel is stunning ... staff at reception very good even under pressure from the queue that was forming ... room was lovely and big and at the time of us arriving- quiet .. we were quite tired so decided on room service , burgers were lovely along with the very refreshing pint of Moretti ... room was very clean and bed (even though I didn't find it comfortable at first) was lovely and big and slept very well .. we didn't opt for breakfast and the express checkout was easy ... would recommend !

And the free cookies were a bonus however they contained nuts - staff did ask if any allergies but just to make people aware

Cons:

Thankfully the weather wasn't too hot as lack of air con was a bit of a let down ... once 9pm passed, the 'how thin the walls were' came very apparant... I was woken the next morning by a knock., followed by another one 20 minutes later .. not sure if it was kids messing about or the housekeeping giving us an unwanted wake up call as no one at door when checked through spy hole ..
