Breakfast was a bit cold but it was ok
We found the staff very welcoming especially Ella and Maisie who kept us entertained and a great service made us feel part of the team
I treated my husband to afternoon tea at the Hayth Imperial Hotel, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional.
We were running late, and I arrived feeling quite flustered, but Ella immediately put us at ease. She was so warm, calm, and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Her attention to detail was outstanding, and nothing was too much trouble. She genuinely made our experience feel so special.
The afternoon tea itself was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was elegant yet wonderfully relaxed, and every member of staff we encountered was kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Hayth Imperial Hotel for such a memorable afternoon, and a very special thank you to Ella for her exceptional service. She is a real credit to the team. We will definitely be returning!
We stayed mid week for two nights and it was a truly relaxing experience. Our room was upgraded to a stunning sea view room (room 203) which was a nice surprise and we enjoyed the cool air con and really comfy super king bed, had the best night's sleep and waking up to that sea view was incredible. Found the swimming pool a bit tired/in need of modernising (the ceiling was a bit gross and it was very hot so not so relaxing to chill there) but because the room was stunning and service very friendly/efficient I feel our stay was worth a 5 star review. Would recommend especially if you are after a peaceful relaxing night away by the coast. Some v nice coffee and pastry shops nearby too (but don't eat on the beach or the seagulls will steal your food!)
Went on the 21st June. The breakfast on the Tuesday 22nd was a complete and utter shambles. Having stayed at the Hythe on numerous occasions for a few or more days each stay this breakfast was the worst ever. Balash was not his usual efficient self as he was obviously missing his long term staff member Rebecca who left last September due to as she said poor management? He was on his own in the breakfast room with the exception of an Asian lady who was ill. She was constantly sweating and kept drinking water at her work station and made constant visits to the kitchen for top ups and a can of lemonade. She was obviously not fit to be on duty and Balash was obviously concerned. Tables not laid or cleared. I had to ask Balash to put food on to the buffet as all containers more or less empty at one point. He was obviously distressed working under such pressure more or less on his own. Even the young lady on the reception desk seeing people in was constantly in and out helping. People had to ask for cutlery, glasses etc. as none on the empty tables. THANK GOD FOR LEO and his 2 young lady helpers on Wednesday and Thursday. Tables laid menus up straight. tables cleared and relaid and more importantly all buffet trays kept full. Great great team. BACK TO THE HYTHE Imperials usual standards. Lets hope they are appreciated.

Big room and comfortable. View of beach
Outdoor reception/bar area shabby-scruffy astroturf. Not n keeping with rest of hotel
Lovely location, with it being so hot could have a fab dip in the sea
Looking a little tired in areas, pool closed from 5:30 to 7:30, so couldn’t really use it, breakfast okay, more 3 star than 4, room ac barley adequate
Comfortable bed excellent food great location
Excellent Spa
Nothing
Incredibly disappointing. Would certainly not recommend
The location was perfect and the beds were so comfortable. Lovely art work and general decor. Breakfast was great. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice treat.
The cost of the food in the bar and broken locks on the changing rooms in the spa
Friendly and polite staff. Sea view was not great but was there for the extra cost we paid.
Breakfast was ok but not great. Smoked salmon, avocado etc. was an extra £3.00 - not ideal. Bed was a bit hard for us.
Location
Breakfast very poor, with some item unavailable and poor service. It would seem the hotel is understaffed.
Easy access, good parking well maintained very clean
Food and drinks were VERY expensive
Great location, friendly and helpful staff & comfortable room. Booked to stay on our return back to Germany
