The staff and the pool was amazing
We paid for 2 double sea view rooms got a twin and a double.
But no Seaview apart from a snippit.
All we could see out of the window was a dirty metal roof and a distant glimpse of the sea
The room was super clean and very comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. All the staff were as friendly and helpful as they always are.
Great location near the sea. We had a couple of room issues but they were sorted same day. Some rooms have air con. Plenty of parking.
Disappointed that the champagne bar was closed as it wasn’t the weekend and even more disappointed and surprised that we couldn’t even get a cocktail at the bar. The server said she could do an Aperol Spritz and that was it! I know it’s a Tuesday but still!
We didn’t like the help yourself coffee machine for breakfast. It’s never as nice as a freshly made pot of coffee brought to your table. I was surprised there was no fresh fruit salad to go with the yogurt and cereal, although you could peel your own banana. I had porridge which was freshly made and very nice.
Breakfast was good.
Neither myself or my husband are disabled but we were given a disabled room. I asked at reception why we had been given this room as I had booked a Classic double room and was told that this was classed as a classic room. The sink was very low (obviously for a wheelchair user) and the shower was meant for a disabled person as well so we couldnt have a shower as it was not a full shower. The room was ideal for a disabled person but not for anyone else. I was told at Reception that were I to book a room again I should phone beforehand and say that I do not require a disabled room! How odd is that?
Excellent location. Very good breakfast.
Air conditioning was broken on the third floor and whilst a portable fan was supplied, this was not very good. The whole reason for booking this hotel was because air conditioning was stated. It would have been nice if this had been advised so that alternative arrangements could have been made.
Good breakfast. Nice hotel right on the coast. A bit disappointed in the sea view as had paid for a sea view room and there was only a partial sea view was only visible if you near the window.
Loved every minute of my stay here- staff were fantastic
The location was excellent. The staff at breakfast were very helpful & pleasant
We paid extra for a sea view but it was partly obscured by the side of the building. The breakfast was basic & had to pay extra for eggs Benedict or avacado & poached eggs, which are normally included in other hotels we have been in. Having to leave a damage deposit was unnecessary bearing in mind the deposit was released without the room being checked. A deposit is normally required if a mini bar is in the room, but there wasn’t one.
Schönes Zimmer!
Furchtbares Frühstück
We were happy with everything. All the staff were friendly, the room was clean with plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable. We ate in the Martello bar and the food was lovely. Breakfast was good too, plenty of choice.
Just a couple of suggestions regarding the breakfast. The tea/coffee machine looked grubby from people's fingers. Perhaps staff could give a wipe over occasionally during the breakfast time. Perhaps having two toasters and two tea/coffee machines would be helpful as these areas did create bottlenecks.
Super hotel at a good price. Great location by the sea
Location
Breakfast was expensive for what was on offer. We were early and it already looked tired
Aircon in room wasn’t working. Nothing was communicated although staff must have known. Very dirty fan was in the room on arrival. Bathroom mirror lights didnt work. Small mirror light didnt work. Dirty windows we had to open to breathe!
Our room was lovely, spotless, quiet and the bed very comfortable. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant and the service was exceptional, very enjoyable.
The only real negative was the breakfast, we would have loved a proper pot of tea or coffee served and more choice. I would have loved a natural yoghurt with a choice of toppings, the yoghurt in the fridge had granola on it which was not gluten free so I could not have it. Considering how thoughtful and delicious the menu was for dinner (lots of GF options), the breakfast did not reflect the hotel well.
Location, air con, clean
Terrible neighbours, sound proofing poor, not seat wotb well, breakfast poor
