Gute Lage Downtown Anchorage, großes Zimmer, bequeme Betten.
Charming, old world feel
Could use some upgrading i.e. electrical outlets available
But preserving the old world charm, which is challenging
Location. Old style charm. Historic feel
Breakfast
A very nice stay, we highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing.
Staff was great and welcoming. W
No king bed available and I booked in January for a June stay. Indicates walking distance to the Alaska RR depot - you could walk but it was very far and done a steep hill. We Ubered.
This is a wonderful hotel- clean, comfortable and centrally located. The staff here are friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights, left for Denali and returned for an additional night. They held our bigger suitcases here while we were in Denali and had them in our new rooms when we returned at 8pm 2 nights later. Great service! We highly recommend staying here.
Completely the worst do not go here the door lady is extremely rude too
The staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was small but very nicely appointed
Breakfast was awesome buffet! Our room was upgraded we heard from very nice lady at desk and had a suite!! She said room was changed had some repair work in original room
Absolutely nothing
I was welcomed in and informed that I had been upgraded to a suite for my overnight stay! The hotel is “out of date” - which is exactly what I loved about it. It’s a cozy landing spot in downtown Anchorage, with a friendly and caring staff. The hotel itself has a lot of personality - it was decorated for Halloween! There were historical photos of the building in the staircase that I enjoyed looking at. One of the reasons I chose to stay here was because of its history, surviving the Good Friday earthquake in 1964.
The breakfast buffet left a bit to be desired, but I’ll take an offering over nothing at all. Just even having coffee and some potatoes to kick off my day exploring the Anchorage area was a very welcome amenity.
I only stayed at the Historic Anchorage Hotel one night after a longer trip elsewhere in Alaska. I hope to stay here again on my next visit to Anchorage.
