Disappointed and tired

Cons:

Windows heavy and very difficult to open or close (left open before my arrival) and was very cold.
Room soundproofing was very poor. There was an adjoining door right next to my bed and I was kept awake by my next-door guest who was snoring. I was wearing ear plugs and was still kept awake.

There were no Newspapers, available in the Morning. In past years hotels provided a daily newspaper for guests.

Pros:

The breakfast was superb - so much choice and good quality. The location, too, was excellent - within easy walking distance of buses to the Burrell Centre, and right next door to our train station, yet it was quiet at night!

Cons:

The desk staff could have been friendlier - maybe asked what we might want to see and pointed us in the right direction.
