Can't beat the price for downtown SLC
Pros:

Really good price for SLC, so close to downtown amenities, U of U hospitals, attractions etc. Well kept grounds, safe, gated.

Cons:

It's close to transitional housing and services, so while the area may be within a half mile of the better parts of SLC downtown & amenities, a couple of blocks next to the hotel have groups of unhoused people congregating, sleeping and sitting on the street.

Looks like “slum lord” accommodations!

Short distance to different places downtown.

Cons:

Electrical lightings inadequate & lamp shades are stained with holes/scratches on them; light fixtures, switches are haphazardly put together especially the air conditioning and heating unit, looks like a fire hazard and accident waiting to happen! I was on the ground floor and the windows have flimsy plastic locks on them. However, the front desk person assured me that the outside fences are pretty high, “no need to worry.” The curtains are stained with holes in them and the blackout curtain, 1 left panel only, was stuck and broken. The water is lukewarm only. The front desk area has a worn out 2 seater couch and a few high chairs around. The concierge personnel (both day & night shifts) have limited communication skills or maybe language barriers?

It was worth the money and in a good enough location
Pros:

It was walkable to Duffy's tavern which was a cool spot. Some views said it was in a scetchy spot and there was some homeless but it wasn't bad. For reference we're from Boston and felt safe walking at nights.

Cons:

It was for sure beat up and needed a renovation but it's totally worth the money.

The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The room wasn't fully cleaned. The bathtoom was covered in hair. The refrigerator had large food crumbs. The flooring was separating and lifting. Only one nightstand. Furniture had visible stains with food debris.

Le lit était bien, la douche également. Parking gratuit indispensable dans cette ville.

Cons:

Présence de cafards et de puces de lit, ma compagne a des boutons, on avait lu dans les commentaires mais malheureusement c’est toujours le cas. Sans-abris dans le hall d’entrée qui se sert de café et autre, personnel pas très compatissant avec nous, on est arrivé avec 20min de retard au PDJ, on nous a même pas proposé une collation, nous n’avions pas eu les instructions en arrivant. La chambre est super sombre également.

The room was large and very clean, the TV worked fine! The breakfast is great with eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, waffles, juice and coffee!
