Bed in literal pieces, customer service non existent
Pros:

On entering room, we discovered the bed in literal pieces, shower full of used bed linen and a visibly dirty toilet. Returned to reception, offered 20% refund on room and given a new room. I checked it was the same level as booked, assured yes. This was not true. Instead of superior double twin, it was a single twin. Too tired to return, so kept room. On check out, invoice emailed showing full amount for original room taken. No refund in sight! Have since tried to speak by phone and live chat with SOMEONE, but impossible! Wholly insincere customer service. Waste of time having Hilton Honors. Appalling experience

A hotel at the well-known standards by the Hilton DoubleTree chain. Very clean, friendly staff and great location in Bath! But the most positive surprise was the service, the professionalism, the politeness and empathy of Matteo at breakfast. He solely made the difference from an excellent to an unforgettable experience!!

Resulting in the bar, breakfast area and outdoor sitting area being bored off and out of use .
I feel we should have been informed before booking, or have a refund.
Also the bed sofa in our room was broken.

Great hotel
Pros:

I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Bath and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Bath’s main attractions, shops, and restaurants.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and was enjoyable.

Overall, the hotel provided excellent service and great value for money. I would highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Bath to anyone visiting Bath and would happily stay here again.
