Categories

Cleanliness
6.8
Mixed reports: several guests praised very clean rooms and bathrooms, but others reported dirty toilets, a found eyelash and silverfish in the shower curtain, so cleanliness is inconsistent.
Service
8.3
Generally positive: multiple mentions of helpful and friendly staff (recommended concert bus, attentive at breakfast), though a few guests reported rude or untrained staff.
Location
8
Convenient for concerts and has good free parking; some rooms face the motorway and a few guests noted noisy restaurant or unsafe walking routes for non-drivers.
Room Quality
6.6
Rooms are described as spacious with comfy beds by some, but there are recurring issues: no air conditioning, hard pillows, shower/curtain problems, blocked sinks and dated bathrooms in need of refurbishment.
Amenities
5.7
Notable negatives: no functioning air conditioning in many rooms, pool closed since 2024, missing irons/shampoo in some rooms and occasional TV problems — amenities below expectations.
Value for Money
8.7
Perceived good value by several guests (reasonable price, free parking, good price/quality), though some were unhappy about unexpected deposits or being charged for items like green tea.
Food and Beverage
7
Mixed: some guests enjoyed the food and breakfast, while others found breakfast sparse, had to pay for certain items, or noted poor live music during dining.
Overall Experience
7.3
Overall mixed-to-positive: useful location and friendly staff offset by amenity shortfalls (no AC, closed pool), some cleanliness and bathroom issues — resulting in an average overall impression.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

We arrived after a concert to check in, there was 3 staff on (a manager and 2 staff for checking in) there was 5 of us with 2 rooms booked.. there were two men available to take a booking but one told us to que behind our friends even though we explained we have separate rooms he told us que.. as there was an issue with the others booking it was 40 minutes later before checking in Meanwhile another couple came to check in with the other man that told us to que ! As we were checking in I asked if the room had breakfast and he said you can ask at the breakfast tomorrow and they will tell you, it took ages to check in as they couldn't use the printer and took 100 deposits but couldn't print and had to wait another 15 minutes.. as we got into the room we were disappointed with it being shabby and two small single beds and the room was extremely hot with no a\c or water provided.. I woke the next morning with a sore eye (later after going to get it seen was an eye infection that they said possibly could be from the pillow) the water in shower went from scalding to cold which wasn't acceptable.. the whole experience was shocking !! Our friends had a worse experience and we cannot get over the fact it's a '4 star hotel' we will not be staying here again !

Pros:

Room was very comfortable as always.i have to visit tallaght hospital regularly and ive stayed here my last 4 visits

Cons:

I rang hotel concerning €100 deposit.i had an unexpected charge to my card and I tried to explain this to lady hadn't got money on my card and she said she was cancelling my reservation cause I hadn't got so I asked could I speak to a manager and I was told there was no manager on duty.i had to go looking for someone to loan me €100 which was very embarrassing.i couldn't cancel as I would not have got my money back to stay somewhere else.as a disabled person I thought I could speak to a manager about my predicament but there was no one to talk to.it put a real dampener on a hotel i like to use.

Pros:

Vegan options are available but couldn't find on the website menu or one posted at the door.

Cons:

Room was too hot and had no aircon. Curtains could have been closed during the day of a heatwave to stop the room heating up so much. No way of leaving door to balcony open as it could be a security risk but at least block the sun. Mentioned to reception the next morning.
