Maltreatment; they treated me with contempt

There was a poison trap for mice in the room, there were brown stains on the bedding we found the first night. I own a cleaning business and I understand all stains don’t make it out in the wash, but it looked so unappealing. The microwave didn’t work well, refrigerator froze all of our food and drinks, mold in the bathroom along the caulking of the shower, shower curtain rod was detached from the wall and falling out, shower was clogged and filled up while we were showering on the first night and continued. The inside lock on the door would not lock or close all the way some times so we barricaded the door while we were sleeping, the pool area was very uninviting, lots of construction material and it looked dirty (my kids didn’t even want to go swimming in it and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel). The breakfast options were limited - juice/drink machine broken, waffle spout was clogged, toaster was broken, options were very limited. There were visible mouse traps throughout the hotel, 7th floor had a hot and gross smell to it, made us gag at one point, especially in the hallway (we kept the room so cold so the smell wouldn’t be so potent). There was stuff stuck in the bathtub and on the mat, ceilings in hallway/lobby leaking, toilet started to clog and make noises on our last day there. We woke up each morning with bug bites on us - I did check the bedding and floor for bedbugs and I couldn’t find anything, but the bites are more like flea bites. Accessibly for loading and unloading luggage. The carts are falling apart and there was an ADA elevator that was used to get it from the lobby. We were not in the room a lot so we didn’t want maintenance coming or have to move after we had unpacked everything. I also did not have the funds to try accommodate a new hotel with such little notice or we would have left.

-First day our toilet wouldn’t flush and was clogged until late the next day (dirty btw)asked for plunger multiple times but didn’t get one until the next afternoon
-blow dryer started smoking and metal pieces flew out, that would explain why the smoke detector was removed from the ceiling
- no smoke detector
- A lot of the staff couldn’t speak or understand English, which made it hard to ask for things, like a plunger
- carpet had sticky spot like old maple syrup
-outlet out of wall
-no iron ( which desperate needed actually)

There was no hot water for the first two days of my stay very frustrating the elevator did not work alot of the times

Like I said in a box above, it looked like somebody threw a Slurpee on the wall. The rug was dirty. Bathroom was dirty.
