A very average place to stay
Pros:

Average hotel. We booked a suite (this room was not eligible for a Marriott upgrade), which was more expensive than most accommodations in the area, but the room was nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet was quite good and the service was good. The evening meals in the hotel were another story-- food was not very good (and we ate there several times because there are no nearby restaurants). The concierge/member lounge was always too full to have a seat or get any snacks, so we were not able to do much there. It's quite small. Not a great hotel location, so the choices for any food were really the over-capacity lounge or the mediocre restaurant. Several snafus with check-in and check-out. Fine, but not a typical Marriott experience.

Newly Renovated Modern Rooms, Resort Amenities
Pros:

The property looks ordinary from the outside but nice modern lobby with seating inside and outside overlooking the grounds. Our junior suite was nicely renovated with 2 bathrooms making it more accommodating for our family of 3. The suite came with lounge access which was convenient for snacks or odd cravings. It was nice to take a break from sightseeing to come back and take a dip in the pool and while having a snack and cocktail. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest metros, 2 nearby not sure if one was closer or not. It is downhill leaving the hotel but uphill coming back. You’re about 3mikes from the center of Lisbon so it’s about a 7-9euro cab ride which takes about 15-20min. Overall very nice stay with helpful staff who gave us excellent restaurant recommendations as well as luggage assistance and cab hailing.
