The whole staff was great . The value of my rate was great. The room was exceptional.
Housekeeper was knocking when we had a later check out.
Very helpful staff, especially Ivenia who personally greets guests and helps us with random requests. Nothing was a hassle for her; she helped me quickly with everything.

Miss Ivenia May is a very generous woman and cacti g she lead me to the right the direction of my room right away and made sure I had everything I needed before rooming. I enjoy her sweet conversations.
Checked in today and already wanted to share how great my experience has been so far. The entire front desk team has been friendly and helpful. Ivenia in particular stood out. She was especially welcoming and went out of her way to accommodate what I needed. It made checking in and settling in so much easier.
It's nice to be treated well from the moment you arrive, and the whole team's kindess has already added a lot to my stay, with Ivenia leading the way. Just wanted to give credit where it's due - they're a great representation of the hotel.
The breakfast was awesome. I enjoyed eating the balcony. The view with the fountain was amazing view. The facilities were clean and staff members are very friendly too. Great customer services. I will definitely recommend this marvelous place.
The Jacuzzi was gone. And we weren’t able to go swimming outside where the water slide. We went night swimming inside the pool instead. We had so much fun with my kids and exploring the outside views and at the play area where the swing.
We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding, featuring fresh waffles and a chef preparing omelets with ingredients of your choice. The selection was excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely outdoor areas.
The location worked well for us. The beach, the Virginia Aquarium and First Landing State Park, which offers beautiful hiking trails, are both about 25 minutes away. A great outlet mall is only a 10-minute drive, and there are plenty of good restaurants within easy driving distance of the hotel.
Overall, the value for money is excellent. If you’re traveling with your family and don’t want to pay the high prices of beachfront hotels, this is a great option. As long as you don’t mind driving a little to get to the beach, parks, and restaurants, this hotel offers a very good balance of comfort, location, and affordability.
The path around the lake is covered with animal droppings and is generally not well maintained. The rooms are okay, although it seems that guests with dogs may be assigned rooms that are a bit more worn. The pool is nice, but unfortunately there are no umbrellas to provide shade from the strong sun, which is a pity. The air conditioning was also extremely loud and kicked on every two to three minutes, making it difficult to relax and sleep comfortably.
The Founders Inn is my go-to-hotel in Virginia Beach. The grounds and garden are simply beautiful. The architecture is outstanding. Reception was very friendly and professional. My room was spotless. Lauren, the hostess at the Swan Terrace restaurant was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Not only did she seat us for breakfast, she described the buffet in great detail and checked in us several times. She is truly a shining star. Management is obviously doing great things at this hotel. I will definitely return when my travels take me to the Virginia Beach area.

Founders Inn is an absolutely outstanding hotel and property. The beds are extremely comfortable, cold fridge, plenty of counter space with two sinks! Extremely clean as well which is one of the most important factors of a hotel stay. The antique charm is so unique and elegant. Ivenia, the guest services ambassador is a wonderful member of their staff. She was so very kind to me and made sure I had everything I needed and then some. I always look forward to staying here but now with Ivenias hospitality I will be looking for her each stay to come. Thank you Founders Inn for your exceptional tender loving care!

Great super friendly, beautiful surroundings. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and clean.
The Founders Inn team makes an all ready incredible hotel even better. We had the privilege to meet Jimmy, Front Office Manager and his team including Ivenia and Becky. They are so kind, caring and professional that they made our stay unforgettable. We recommend this Hilton when in the Virginia Beach area. It is amazing!

I loved the property is was quiet and nice although a bit far from Virginia Beach (ocean front) it was still very nice and only a short drive away

Ivenia was perfect. I lost an item and she did the best with helping me find it. The stay was indeed amazing. Everyone here was friendly. I enjoyed the stay and the staff. I went to the spa and enjoyed it.
