Banff Park Lodge is 'in town' and a mere walk from restaurants, supermarket and as many souvenir shops as you may need to visit. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Property improvements were clearly happening, though they did not interfere with guests' access. Future guests should expect to be informed of continuing work, just as we were in advance of our stay.
No dislikes of note.
Location
Cost was high for what was not included. Had to pay an extra$27 for breakfast. Construction didn't bother us, but doors that were easily accessible to our room from the outside had a push button lock on them so guests could not enter from them and had to take a LONG way around to get in the building. Staff was great though!! Very accommodating
Was close to everything
The noise of the street works outside our room
Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Great location.
Nothing
The property is in a great central Banff location . Rooms have been recently refurbished and there are restaurants and a cosy bar on site . There is also an excellent restaurant called Bluebird on the other side of the street. Underground parking was helpful.
We were allocated a really bad room directly next to the massive construction going on in Banff with a pile driver beside the window! Added to the very loud construction going on inside the hotel to rebuild the entrance lobby, with pneumatic drills and angle grinders, hardly making it a peaceful stay !! However it is only in the daytime and we were aware in advance there would be some construction.
Location, clean
A/C did not work well. Stayed at 23degrees Celsius and would not cool down.
Ok
Nada
Location was perfect. Room was large enough. Bathroom was ok, and the rail was handy to help get in and out of shower.
Water pressure was ok but not great in the shower.
Renovations happening at the hotel gave us a limited opportunity to see the hotel at its best, but our fault for booking at this time.
Not a fan of over the bath showers. No tea towel to use at the sink provided. Plastic plates and cutlery are a big No. We bought China ones at dollarmart.
Would have preferred one king bed instead of two queen beds.
Cleanliness, rooms are new after renovation
Reception area was still under renovation, but that didnt even bothered us during the stay.
Nice. Staff very helpful
The location
No instructions on how to use the fire in our room & the shower flooded the bathroom floor as there wasn’t a drain
Central to town.
Road works cutting off access to some areas.
great location in the heart of Banff, close to shops and restaurants and close to the river. Ideal for travelling to local areas and attractions. Hotel was very clean , parking underground and staff good. Food was good at the hotel but the local eateries are many with some outstanding places to eat breakfast and dinner. rooms were a good size, cleaned daily and ours had fantastic views from the balcony across to the mountains.
currently lot of road works and some day time noise but it is only a passing phase. Hotel leisure facilities are OK but pool is small.
Location. Nothing else.
Noisy, expensive.
