Hotel Costabella

We had an excellent night’s stop. The hotel is easy to find and has secure overnight parking. The staff were absolutely superb, warm, friendly and welcoming. They have a really good system for eating if you have a dog with you. Our little dog was made to feel like another guest, which made all the difference.
The large double room was exceptionally clean, spacious and well equipped. We feel it was good value for money. We even found a tiny fridge for keeping items chilled - very useful.
A good night’s sleep is always important and we were not disturbed at all - feeling refreshed in the morning and ready to take the short walk into the beautiful little city of Girona.
Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the waiting staff were very attentive and friendly.
All staff showed a genuine interest in us as guests.
The hotel itself is very well thought out and organised.

We travel regularly from UK to Spain and The Costabella is a favourite of ours. They are dog friendly and provide a bed and bowl for our Goldie. Love the honesty bar too. The food is amazing. The staff friendly. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Hotel Costabella for three nights at the end of September 2025.
The hotel certainly met our expectations.
The room was large and decorated in pleasant colours.
Delicate bathroom with plenty of space and Rituals products.
The restaurant impressed with surprisingly good food; we had dinner there twice.
Perfect location, walking distance to Girona city centre about 15 - 20 minutes.
A short distance from the hotel there is an idyllic park with a walking path that runs along a river, nice for jogging or walking.
The hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating, and the entire hotel appeared clean and well-maintained.
We will be happy to return.

All the positive reviews are correct: this is an ideal base for exploring Girona, slightly removed from center (which is mostly pedestrian anyway and the parking lots are invariably jammed) but a reasonable 20-25 minute walk as you leave your car in their secure lot at no extra charge.

The hotel is elegantly appointed and the staff could not be more friendly, efficient, and professional. Beds are comfortable, linens are high quality, soundproofing is excellent. We didn’t do the breakfast buffet at additional cost but enjoyed wonderful evening meals featuring delicious regional specialties. Truly a perfect place to stay in Girona.

This is a very lovely hotel and easy to find. There is a bus in front but walking to the centre is about 15 minute pleasant walk. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice as well. There is a bar with snacks and a pleasant room with outside patio. Parking is very easy and secure on the premises.

Good hotel. Only a few minutes away from the Girona City centre. The bus stops are next to the hotel: good service and plenty of parking. The location is very convenient for travellers with a car. Good service and excellent organisation. The gym, sauna and jacuzzi are available on site and located on the first floor.

Lovely hotel with great facilities in the room. Honesty bar with small snack items too was a great addition. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful food and service.

Lovely straightforward friendly modern hotel, newly and attractively refurbished. Very welcoming friendly staff who spoke excellent English and spent time explaining what was on offer. Spotlessly clean, newly refreshed and attractively furnished double room and ensuite, with very comfortable bed, I slept really well thanks also to the quiet aircon and blackout curtains. Great to have a small fridge in the room, and coffee making facilities - we also really liked the attractively laid out "honesty bar" in reception, and the range of items on offer. The hotel is conveniently located near a big supermarket, cafe and other local facilities but only about 20 minutes' walk from the centre of Girona. Will definitely stay in this hotel again if we get the chance to come back to this lovely area.

We could not fault this hotel at all. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent and having the lounge and honesty bar meant there was somewhere nice to sit and read in the C evenings when we didn’t want to venture out.
We didn’t mind the 20 minute walk into town at all.
We used the pool and the gym, both lovely.

Excellent hotel, in every way. Very clean.
There are lots of cosy places to sit, inside and out. Pool small but adequate within nice enclosure.
Kindly presented my granddaughter with her dessert, complete with candles for her birthday. Nice touch!

I liked that it was well air conditioned because it was very hot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and with all the necessary things. The location was good.

When I arrived at reception, I asked if I could be with my dog in the pool. First, they said yes, and another colleague said no. I was treated rudely and was not allowed to speak even though I am a 3-year-old. He had no empathy or respect.

Excellent hotel would highly recommend and would definitely use again if I was ever in Girona again.
