From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful and friendly . Food was amazing , entertainment awesome ,bedroom and shower room was wonderful . Great deal on price , well worth the money
Not the fault of hotel but was in a bedroom on road side and was noisy , would probably book room at back next time
Loved the traditional look of hotel, our rooms were big and bathroom too,
Location excellent walking distance to all,
We didn't book breakfast or dinner but would of liked the option to have from resturant but too expensive,
To have better cleaning on rooms, very dusty in areas you can't see, e.g lamps skirting boards,
Better dining options wod be nice and the coffee machine was been too.
Would be nice for a games room for evening entertainment if weather doesn't permit.
Everything, from walking in, the quality, ambience and helpful staff everywhere.
There needs to be a lift that takes you to every floor avaliable. Lovely, ornate staircases appreciated!
I travelled with my daughter who was 8 months pregnant at the time. The room we were given was beautiful. Our window faced the sea.
The actual hotel was lovely, and we loved the random sofas in corners that we could sit on and chat, as we didnt go out.
The man that was the dinner host, he was absolutely amazing! We love him! He was kind and polite and chatted to us and made us laugh.
The bartender was lovely. Making our coffees and hot chocolates when he saw me me waiting at the bar.
After paying £191 for the room, we then had to pay £20 each for a buffet dinner, which was cold roast pork amd potatoes and what looked like frozen veg heated up. The chicken tikka was ok. We we're offered complimentary wine with our meal, which we didnt want, and asked if we could have a soft drink of coffee instead, and was told No by the receptionist.
We were also asked to pay £5 each for swimming- even though we were only in there for 30 minutes, and my daughter couldn't use any other facilities. Just no, it's £5 each a day.
If I had known this. I would have booked a cheaper hotel and just came here and used the pool.
So total cost of 1 night at hotel for 2 People was 241.
Well kept gardens
Good location close to town and beach
Room was grubby and decor tired
Too hot with no air con and windows only open a few inches
Pictures on website do not represent the actual state of affairs
Suffered serious verbal abuse from 2 members of staff. Management are yet to provide us with a meaningful update on this
Tip: Avoid hotel car park at £28 a night. Central car park 5 mins walk away and only £6 for 24 hours
No daily housekeeping
Lift was broken
The room was terrible and suffocating because it had absolutely no windows—not even in the bathroom. We couldn't breathe all night and had to sleep with the door wide open, which meant we got zero rest. Despite us begging multiple times and even offering to pay more for a different room, they refused to move us. The customer service was awful, the staff were incredibly unhelpful, and it is a very bad hotel."
Absolute nightmare. I hated everything. The room was a windowless, suffocating dungeon where we couldn't even breathe, forcing us to sleep with the door wide open. The staff are utterly useless and heartless—they refused to move us even when we begged and offered more money. Save your money, this place is garbage.
We love our stay. Location is prefect. Staff is friendly and helpfull. They are navigated us to the best and cheapest parking. Room a bit outdated but clean. we have windows on the front and it was a bit loud as it is above main road, but wasn't bother us much.
Carpet on stairs is smelly. Stairs was next door to our room and we are mainly used stairs, so it was the only unpleasant thing on our stay.
Windows could not be opened as stops placed in tracks and closed as soon as you let go. No Aircon so room too hot.
Lift not in service. Long walk to room very creaky floors. Expensive charges for car parking on site.
good location, spacious room, quiet, good views from room
the dinner was rather ordinary
Great location
Hotel was very run down.
No air-conditioning.
Our double bed was 2 singles put together and were different heights. The mattress was rock hard, great if you like it like that. You only got one hard pillow each. We had to request an extra pillow which they did provide and a softer one for me. Drinks were expensive when the card machine worked. We wasn't overly bothered about the prices as we were on holiday. Staff were nice.
the only positive about this hotel is the location, other than that its an out dated understaffed and boring hotel
funny as we got a room upgrade and this one was awful, so I wonder what the standard one was like. The bathroom is so small and window opens to a disgusting pigeon poo and bird feath
Was close to the beach.
Very clean
Was like a maze.
Room was so hot, no windows or aircon.
Location of hotel; spacious room with balcony & sea-view
Lifts not working - with our mobility issues, it took us nearly ten minutes to climb to third floor, then totally exhausted. Had to do this seven times! Room lacked AC and a security safe. Use of shower flooded bathroom floor ( but underfloor heating helped to clear this).
