Nothing
The room was very large and the breakfast was good.
I booked a double bed and we got two singles put together and it was like sleeping on two hard tables the wheels on the beds were broken, the furniture had seen better days all chipped and behind the unit with the coffee facility's on there was tissues and packets of milk behind it on the floor that probably have been there for ages , I was not aware of the £25 charge for parking and that spaces were limited, so had to park in a carpark near by that cost £28 for one night,,, evening meal was by pre payment at reception and it was help yourself to what you want, like a cafeteria.. There was not a sit down order service available..
lovely staff, especially at breakfast
Room was swapped last minute, and window view was staff car park. Old monitor, as not even TV .
Lovely old building. A litte tired in places but very grand. Great gardens and fab location overlooking the sea. We had a complimentary upgrade to a seaview room too.
Parking very expensive both at the hotel and at the adjacent public car park.
The bed was also very hard.
Nice, convenient and near the beach
Rooms are clean and big size also staff helpful
Is old built and you could hear the sound from outside in a rooms, like a noise
To old
The breafast had a good menu. The food was hot
I could have like the drinks to be closer to the food. There wss no sugar near the cereals
The location was perfect.
On two consecutive days we saw a rat run through the lounge. The first day a couple employees came and looked around. The second day they didn’t seem concerned.
Also, the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower and toilet were all one area - no problem, I’ve had those before - but the shower was difficult to work to get a decent temperature and the shower area seemed like it could use a good scrub.
The breakfast seemed expensive and wasn’t great - but l guess if a typical English breakfast is what you’re after then it would be fine. I’d like to have seen more fresh fruit options.
The staff were amazing and friendly especially at check in
Not a big issue at all and not affecting our future stays, but the pillow in the room was really hard and if possible like many other hotels they supply each person with 2 pillows on the bed (1 hard and the other soft).
Proximity to sea
Size of hotel - it's huge
The hotel is situated in a wonderful location just 5 minute walk from the beach, maybe even less than that. The hotel itself is elegant and absolutely beautiful. Very clean and shiny. There’s entertainment as well as multiple bars and extra activities such as swimming. Breakfast is a reasonable price and quite a few options in a buffet style, you can tell the food was fresh. The staff are incredibly friendly and could not have asked for better service.
You have to pay extra for a nice window view.

Front desk staff told us that late checkout was at 3, so we paid for a late checkout, only for them to come up after one to ask us to leave, then said that late checkout was at 1 an that we over said.
