déjeuner et emplacement excellents, difficile d'espérer mieux. hôtel élégant, dans un quartier agréable et beau, très propre, chambre bien isolés. Prix élevé mais justifié.

The Karl Johan is a clean well run boutique hotel in an excellent location in Oslo.
Pros:

The location was perfect. The room was small but efficient. The shower was terrific. Breakfast was comfortable with a good selection.

Cons:

I would have liked better coffee. Those machines remind me of airport lounges and the coffee is sub-par.

Historic building, hotel in a fantastic location. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bedrooms.
Pros:

Location was excellent and we could walk to many of the activities/attractions we wanted to visit and/or get local transport as needed.
We travelled to and from the airport by train and walked 10 minutes from Nationaltheatret, the station close to the hotel. Flytoget recommended over the cheaper commuter service as the later was very crowded.
Breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

There was a strike involving hotel workers so rooms were not cleaned during our short stay. We could request clean towels at reception. This was a minor inconvenience.
