Not great unfortunatley
Pros:

location was really the only thing that was going for it at the time of my stay.

Cons:

The room was freezing, there were no extra blankets, the front door didnt work and we had to ring the bell when we came back late after a Function to be let in. The Wifi was not working. Checkin took forever.

The staff made this stay!
Pros:

The staff were fantastic, the building is beautiful, obviously undergoing renovations but it was comfortable

Cons:

Someone had turned the in room heater on before we got there and it was really hot. The air conditioning wasn’t working so it was pretty hot

I have stayed there before many times as well as other establishments, andalways choose Monte Pio
Pros:

Comfortable bed, nice clean room, good central location. staff were extremely good and friendly, breakfast was prompt and the food (hot) was cooked to my liking.
Just as important as anything else, is the overall feel of the place, steeped in history....an old catholic school with attached church (de-consecrated)...all very interesting

Cons:

Slight hiccup with room to start off with....not made up, but was promptly remedied by the Manager, who was not only overseeing staff etc, but the motel/hotel has been undergoing large renovations. Very busy man, but nothing was too much trouble

Pros:

24hr check in

Cons:

Bed n pillow uncomfortable, bed was hard n pillows uncomfortable. You sleep on the bed and not in the bed. Room is still bright with lights off, after long drive you need the room darker
