Good start to our holiday as a stopover to catch an early ferry at Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight.
Pros:

Great location with ample parking. Friendly & helpful staff with good bar & restaurant facilities. Well appointed rooms.

My overall stay at this holiday Inn was exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly. The facility was clean. The food

As the hotel didn’t seem full we should have been allocated a quieter room away from delivery area.
Pros:

Breakfast was fine with a decent selection.
Our room was located next the waste bin collection and supplies/ delivery area with noise generated at times in the evening and early morning from deliveries and the service corridor areas.
We appreciate this is essential for the running of the hotel but as it didn’t seem fully occupied more consideration could have been given when our room was allocated and we could have been accommodated in a quieter area.

Cons:

Unfortunately there were children running around— not the fault of the hotel but the lack of control by their parents.

Good stay
Pros:

Impressed with staff response to a leaking ac unit. A particular member of staff ( Madison) at breakfast was a delight to have around.

Cons:

Not many buses available to Portsmouth

Will check before booking about issues with adjoining door.
Cons:

Did not realise we had an adjoining room unerving when someone kept trying the door.
Light could also be seen under the door.
Breakfast has been scaled down since our last visit.
