The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of fruit and cereal. There was also a good selection of cooked items but I don't eat a cooked breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided a good service all round.
The kettle provided for room coffee and tea would have been better if it was placed near a plug!
It was very clean and the staff were very friendly especially on arrival. Breakfast was well stocked and food was hot, plus fresh options. Room was really clean and also common areas were.
I’m quite a light sleeper and found the aircon/ventilation noise loud and there were not any ear plugs available at reception
We booked a family room and found it comfortable and had plenty of space for the 3 of us. The shower and loo were separate which made it more convenient to use as a family. We enjoyed the breakfasts and it was nice to have a bar on site in the evening for a quiet drink.
We had a problem with our loo not flushing on the first night - they tried to fix it first thing in the morning but it needed a new part. We were immediately offered a new room just over the corridor which was a mirror image of the first one.
The only downside was that the new room faced the motorway (although you could only hear anything when the window was open).

My stay at Novotel Nottingham Derby was very unpleasant.
My stay was disappointing due to a serious parking issue. My booking included complimentary parking, yet I was incorrectly issued a ParkingEye Parking Charge. As a result, the car rental company charged me **£104**.
Although the hotel later confirmed that the parking charge had been issued in error and cancelled it, resolving the issue took far too long. I had to spend considerable time contacting the hotel, Hertz UK, and Booking.com to correct a mistake that was not mine. Unfortunately, despite booking both the hotel and the car rental through Booking.com, they were unable to provide effective assistance and mainly asked about my stay instead of helping resolve the issue.
Other issue during my stay was the absence of soap in the bathroom. I reported it to the housekeeping staff, but unfortunately, the issue was not resolved.

Very comfortable room. Good wifi connection. Lovely buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Convenient location close to the M1 Jnc 25. Helpful, friendly staff.
We would have liked a longer slot for breakfast - we don't get up early when on holiday but had to set an alarm to get up for breakfast which finished at 9.30am.
