Enjoyed our stay but could have been better.
Pros:

Good location, nice guest areas (bar & restaurant) Good pool & sauna facilities. Breakfast good value & well presented, and plentiful. Liked security aspects in hotel (needing room pass to access lift/stairs) Room nicely decorated, and very comfortable bed.

Cons:

No seperate jacuzzi. WC within bathroom would be better (unable to wash hands after toilet and therefore touching door handles before washing) also WC very small. Had to send a main meal back as not cooked (salmon), although tbh staff handled it very well & reduced our bill. Cleanliness of sauna & pool area wasn't great. Changing areas in pool very small. Housekeeping staff didn't provide clean glasses or wipe surfaces.

Great location, well appointed room but poor breakfast and a bit overpriced.
Pros:

Room was spacious & clean. Prompt action when I asked to have the sofa bed made up.

Cons:

Shower drain needed clearing - on the last day, the shower cubicle filled with water so when I opened the shower door the bathroom flooded and the water spread into the bedroom.
Parking is very expensive on top of a high room rate.
Breakfast was uninspiring - especially on day 2 when a couple of the hot food plates were left empty and not replenished. A larger variety of fresh fruit, yoghurts, nuts, seeds etc. would have been appreciated

Pros:

We liked the breakfast, food was good, room was comfortable and a good location for sightseeing In York

Cons:

The air conditioning broke 2 days in and never came back on, so made the room a bit stuffy as the window didn't open very far (but the window was for safety reasons which I understand)

Lovely trip to York, centrally accommodated and good hotel.
Pros:

Great location, lovely bedroom etc.
Breakfasts nice and fresh, but had to pay extra for them.

Cons:

Confusion over whether breakfast was eventually included. Had to pay extra for breakfasts i.e. £18 pp for English, £12 pp Continental.

Great value in a contemporary hotel in a good city centre location
Pros:

We were welcomed by Anisha who was friendly and efficient. The room was very modern and comfortable with lots of room. The room was very clean and the air conditioning was quiet and efficient. Of particular note was the security at ground level to allow access to the lifts or stairs. Both access points had to be opened/accessed using the room card before summoning the lift/accessing stairwell. Excellent idea.

Cons:

We arrived by train although if we had chosen to come by car the parking charge was excessive. We did not opt for the breakfast option which at £18.50 pp was excessive considering a Wetherspoons was round the corner

Disappointing and not value for money
Pros:

Staff were very friendly, size and layout of restaurant/bar was great, beds were comfy. Small fridge, iron and hairdryer in the room were a plus.

Cons:

Rooms were dirty and smelly, water pressure was very weak and there was no aircon. The entire hotel was HOT. Very, very noisy throughout the night on both nights. Didn’t help that there was a huge group of teenagers staying. Breakfast was very expensive so we didn’t eat there. One member of staff changed their attitude considerably after complaining about the rooms. Swimming pool area was not thoroughly cleaned (dirty plasters over the floor). Not worth the money.

Nice hotel but they have to fix the AC
Pros:

The staff were great, the pool/sauna was lovely. Breakfast was high quality

Cons:

The air conditioning was terrible. Room had dense warm air that made sleep difficult. Met lots of others in the hotel who had the same issue.
