The night staff was great, so was the morning staff. The room is huge and feels new. The king bed was comfy though I prefer a really hard mattress. I arrived almost at midnight and left before 7 am, so I couldn't observe much, but I think it the hotel including the room was clean.
Too bad the restaurant was either closed for the night or closed for renovation, so I had to go to Alberto's, a Mexican restaurant a few feet away. The burrito was not to my liking.
Also, I booked via Booking.com first then a few months later realized that as an employee of Xanterra working in Yellowstone, I could get a special rate. However, when I called the hotel, they were not helpful at all and only said sorry. I was left thinking perhaps they could have cancelled my booking.com reservation (or I could do it on my end) and created a new booking for me with the special rate.
Check in was smooth and friendly. I called front desk once and they were kind.
I had to call for the wifi. Myself and others with me thought the walls were thin because we can easily hear neighbors.
The location was good.
Our room was so bright because of the lights kept on in the ballroom/pool area. It was hard to sleep. For the cost of the room it should have been nicer.
Restaurant was closed the first day of our stay. Workers were stripping wallpaper in the corridors creating a great deal of dust. TV failed to work several times. It's unusual these days to not have breakfast things available at no additional cost, but there was nothing. The day the restaurant was closed there were bananas, and mandarins available but they were gone as soon as the restaurant opened. We were given the same room as one of our friends, which created a bit of confusion, but we got it sorted out. The banquet food was less than what one would normally expect at an event this size. What was provided as hors d'oeuvres was really no more than a relish tray. There was no manager available until 3:00PM. There were birds nesting above the parking which created a mess on the cars that had to be cleaned up more than even once a day.
It was undergoing some renovations during my stay but it was quiet and clean. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and they have room service if you want. The pool area was very nice and clean as was the fitness room. Guest laundry was available which I did use. 2.00 to wash and 1.50 for the dryer which runs for 99 minutes! They have a shuttle which will take you anywhere in town and drop you off for shopping etc and come back to pick you up when you call. This was very nice as I had no vehicle and had to spend 2 nights until my flight left. Shuttle is free to airport and in town. I tipped the driver. It was a very pleasant place and the people and staff were very accommodating.

Always a great stay rooms are clean and staff is great also good food at the restaurant
The room was clean and the free on-demand shuttle service (to and from the airport, to and from downtown) was an exceptional bonus. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the location is great. (Having a Walmart right across the street is super-helpful.) The microwave oven and decent-size fridge in the room is convenient for a multi-day stay. Everyone on staff was super-friendly and helpful. 5 stars!

The price for the room was outrageous. How dare you charge so much for so little. I will never stay in one of your hotels ever again.
The location.
The hotel was beyond overpriced. I paid $400 for a night in a very old hotel. Our room had a sewer-like order and the sink was broken.
I've stayed at the Grantree many times. It's always a good experience. Easy to find and navigate from to all your favorite haunts in Bozeman.
The Grantree is scheduled to make even more upgrades in 2026. Recommend this property.
